I've read almost all of the recent ones starting around page 70 ++ up to here. And it is better to nego on the spot. What do I need to look out for to prove its legal and registered? Because of the insurance and road block issue. Any special stickers on the car as well?

There is a special sticker - inspection by Puspakom.
Those without this sticker is illegal.

So it is sticked near the road tax? I don't want any trouble during my trip and not being cheated as well.

I don't think langkawi will be closed for storm hahah. Rainy season is forth quarter of the year if I'm not mistaken.

Stay around cenang area, visit the langkawi cable car, water sports etc
you can practically finish 80% of their attractions in a day.

You will see in front of the windscreen. Should have a white sticker with inspection written on it.

2 weeks to go for my 1st island trip in Malaysia. Lol. Sounds sad.

But after planning I think I should be just renting a car straight from the airport. Since I am going after the school holidays, the pricing should be considered low peak right? Approx how much for a small Automatic car?

Night life is bad. Stay around cenang area if you want to roam around at night.
