LOLOLOLOL.. suddenly all the pricing in my steam account are in US dollar. Dayum, 3 x more expensive than my usual Russian Rubles.

Is there any way to change the settings back to russian? Im spoilt by the cheap offers by russian steam.

But I do realize one thing,

the numerical value for the games' price in russia and in US are the same (well, except the decimal places lol)
eg: Max Payne 3 USD59.99 and Rubles599.90

However, RM1 = 10rubles.

Max Payne 3 in russia = rm60

YEah, there are some region lock AAA games. Left 4 Dead 2 for example. GTA IV, im not sure, but i bought em like rm12 together with the whole GTA series during a sale. Yeah, its THAT CHEAP...

Some games from certain publisher (Zenimax / Bethesda) like Skyrim or Rage, you have to buy from retail stores and install em thru steam instead of buying them straight from steam store. Thankfully the prices are still cheap.

Most AAA games are priced around 599 - 899 rubles (rm60 - rm90), the highest being fcking Modern Warfare 3 zzzzzzzz

But then again, majority arent region locked.


But hey at least its better than Origin kunts. Most of their games (Mass Effect 3 for example) are only available in Russian Language. Good thing other recent releases arent that strict though (BF3, Star Wars online) due to complains from other Origin users.

As for console games prices. LOL, x2 more expensive than in Malaysia. I guess Russians really wanna combat PC piracy and yeah, its working. You wont see your everyday Russians selling rm10 dvd games on the street anymore.

I dont wanna take the risk of doing steam sale service though due to region lock issue (like the one i had with L4D2, but it was so cheap i personally requested the staff to delete my initial L4D2 SEA account and repurchase the russian / european version ) and i might be doing some injustice towards other 'resellers' here in LYN forum. :/

Btw, is it me or the time consumption for connecting to steam account is pretty slow (like 30 seconds?). Using old man's 1mbps speed (if it affects anything), but gonna upgrade to 20Mbps (rm40 per month uncapped )
