The Giveaway:

The Great Steam Game Giveaway is back again! The last giveaway, was a huge success, with over 38,000 entries! The response absolutely blew me away (as well as GoogleDocs and my website, which were taken down a few times!).

What is CheapShark?

In a nutshell, CheapShark is all about finding the best prices on digital games. It keeps track of game prices on a number of stores such as Steam, GoG.com, Amazon, Gamer's Gate, and others. Some of the features include the ability to view the top deals per store, search for a specific game and compare pricing, sign up for email alerts, or just browse all of the deals.

CheapShark isn’t run by a corporation, or large company, or even a company for that matter. It is run by 1 guy (myself), as a hobby, with the help of a few volunteers here and there. In an interview at the Gamelab conference in Barcelona, Konami's vice-president of digital entertainment is full of praise for Team Bondi's technology. "I'm very interested in [LA Noire], and I'm waiting for it to be released in Japanese," he tells us. "I haven't played it yet but I was able to go to the studio where they were [performing the facial capture].

"The technology is absolutely fantastic," he adds. "Nevertheless, for the next game I want to make, it isn't necessarily the technology I need, so I don't think it goes along with the next game I would like to create."
