QUOTE(Deimos Tel`Arin @ Jun 4 2012, 11:02 AM) store.steampowered.com/app/208030/ It's a crap game though, because its a pay to win game. The gameplay isnt very good, as the ships feels slow and you need to buy boosters to enjoy the game. Thats my impression from Total Biscuit's video.lul new free game. and lul at "meet new singles" advertisement banner in gamers hideout trololololol eh wait ... google ads shows what the user has been searching ... Might as well wait for this: Also a port from iOS, but the game is bloody amazing on iOS. One of the best games for iPhone and it plays a lot like Freelancer. |

QUOTE(artsie fartsie @ Jun 7 2012, 12:13 AM) I'm on a mac, still thinking if I should get a Steam account. Comments/Suggestions anyone? & don't say anyth about other OS. At this point, it's impossible for me to even get boot camp xD Well a lot of Steam games has Steam Play function where you can play the supported game on Mac and Windows. Dont see why you shouldnt get a Steam account just because you are using mac.P/s: sorry if it's off topic. if it is, please direct me where I can get opinions. I have friends playing L4D2 on Macs. |

QUOTE(chiakm @ Jun 17 2012, 12:57 PM) Did anyone preordered Endless Space in steam and played the alpha/beta? Kinda curious about the game I actually want to try that game too but the game's combat is rather terrible. Other than that, heard the game is shaping up amazingly on the 4X side of it, better than SotS 2. *cough Alternatively, you can get Sins of Solar Empire Rebellion. The expansion is a great game, except it still have some lingering balance issue. Despite Rebellion only added a handful of units to each faction, even the original faction splinter to 2 subfaction doesnt seem to change much in the tech tree, but these misleadingly simplistic additions actually added a tonne of depths to the game, and made the game whole lot more fun to play than it's previous iteration. I will definitely pickup Endless Space later on. Just not sure when. |

QUOTE(chiakm @ Jun 17 2012, 03:05 PM) The battles seem alright. When it comes to 4X games i like the overall empire management phase, not too keen on the battles so this might be my cup of tea. I have SotS2 but havent played it, still waiting for the devs to fix the game. Though I have good faith that when they're done the game will be good. SotS 1 was awesome. It's a little bit too shallow for me. It's pretty much just a card game. I rather have the Gratuitous Space Battle sort of combat than what it is now.I've got Trinity, do u still think rebellion is worth the upgrade? The new features dont seem to be worth the price though. I just bought SotS 1 because SotS 2 interface is totally unusable. If you liked Trinity, Rebellion would be worth it. The handful of units and tech that is added to the game may seem to be very little, but the changes these content bring to the table is enormous. They literally changed how the race is meant to be played in some ways. Try to get the $10 discount if you have Trinity through Impulse. As mainly a TEC player, in Rebellion, TEC is divided to 2 subfaction which is one focusing on defence, like double Starbase in a single gravity well, earlier and cheaper superweapon and a very tough, defense oriented Titan. The other one focus more on offense, such as allying with the neutral rebels and pirates, getting pirates as reinforcements for free and a powerful offensive titan. I find both subfaction plays very differently due to these small changes. Advent had similar treatment with one focusing on resurrecting "dead" ships and the other one on culture. Still, i cant comment much about Advent because i rarely play them. Vasari varies the most, where one faction focus more on diplomacy to work with their allies, phase jumping Starbase and an incredibly powerful Titan. The other one has the option to fully uproot from their planets to become a mobile flotilla, something like how Quarians are in Mass Effect. Also, an ability on their Titan to fully consume a planet for a lot of resources. Outside of faction changes, the game also have some under the hood optimisation, textures redone and better graphics in generally, especially shadows. I still think its a bit overpriced for a $40 expansion, but looking back at other expansions like Sup Com's Forged Alliance and so on. I think the price is more or less alright, considering its a standalone expansion. |

QUOTE(kof91 @ Jun 18 2012, 08:45 AM) I have played it. Its an amazing game where it feels a lot like midtown madness 2. Its pretty much you get a car and drive around the city to complete objectives. The story is quite decent for a racing game and the game can be really funny at times. Kinda like how the games ending too. Physics wise, its pretty good as the cars are fun to drive while each car handling feels unique. Its a bit short though. 8 hours to finish the campaign but if you want to unlock everything, it might take a while more. You'll also need a 360 pad to play the game. Its quite difficult to play with keyboard. Tldr: great game with fun physics and decent storyline but let down by rather short campaign. If you like driving games, just buy this game seriously. |
