I've been using the 512 package for more than a year now.

For the past two days, I faced problem connecting to streamyx. My router's ADSL led just keep blinking and it wont connect. I check 10.1.1.1 and it shows the Operation Status as Hand Shaking...

So, I have been offline for two days.

However, I get to connect today. I check 10.1.1.1 and guess what, it shows I'm connected at 1024/384.... TMnet giving away free upgrade huh ? I'm only paying 66 each month. Anyway, I dont feel any speeder web surfing or downloading, it all appeas the same to me.

The thread talks about "wrongly capped" streamyx right ?

I subscribe to Basic 512 package, I have been downloading at speed around 40++ KB per sec. But since last week, I discovered my line has been changed to 1024/384 bandwidth, I dont know why.

Now I'm downloading at speed around 55 KB per sec. This 55 KB per sec is way below the 1024kbps speed....

So, can anybody gives me some suggestion what should I do to improve my download speed ?
