QUOTE(DaMyst @ May 3 2012, 05:16 PM) Perhaps you should try LP5 kernel and see if that helps extend your battery life. Or if you are feeling a little adventurous, you can try a newer ICS rom (Kingdroid ICS is based on Samsung TW, with SPen functions, SMemo etc. with a sprinkling of AOSP as well). I cannot vouch for its reliability or stability since I've not tried it myself. Here's the link in case you want to take a closer look at it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1629332 yeah.. I think I'll try LP5 kernel first.Btw, I just reboot to recovery and flash LP5 kernel directly? Any wipe needed? |

Processors can never be plug and play from end user point of view.
It's too risky. ESD issues and so on.. So designers will never allow such plug and play concept for end user usage. The so called "plug-and-play" is more for the designers themselves to use during R&D stage.. |

QUOTE(benny888 @ May 5 2012, 08:16 AM) I suggest stay away from all apps that tweak kernel as these are roms based on mod unofficial leaks. In fact one modder even suggest stop flashing ics rooms from leaked ics kernels as he said surely one day we will hard brick n suggest use his safe kernel Uncle, are you using LB2 kernel now?LB2 cos I find more suitable n better connectivity. There is no best modem lah depend on your location n telco too. Just experiments yourself.Any gb modem can be used. Sometimes I switch to older one kj4 in areas of poor reception Added on May 5, 2012, 8:20 am That is for your phone data connectivity 3g n wifi Just flash it from recovery if it comes in a zip file. If zip file extracted is a tar or zimage file use mobile Odin to flash |

Uncle Benny,
If I want to flash back to Rooted_Stock_Odex_N7000DXLC2.rar, can I do it directly via PC Odin or should I first flash Abyss Kernel 3.9 in recovery? I do not want to do a full nandroid restore. Just want to revert back to rooted GB ROM. Something doesn't seem right with my current AlBa v3 ROM (LP5 kernel). Thanks. |
