QUOTE(PangurBan @ May 28 2012, 12:04 AM) After that Teresa Kok insisted on going up the hill to see for herself. Wah lau, she nearly made it to the top, the highest point that Stimix and Ozak and me reached that time after our SPM. |

Setia Walk really a mall not really done right. Just compare wth Paradigmn Mall.. On the 1st day almost 90% of shops there opened liao.. but from what I see there..only ~ 10% opened. KR everytime also empty wan except that Organic BMS restaurant & Sharetea getting the crowd.. the 2 big pubs there dunno can survive or not

QUOTE(PangurBan @ May 29 2012, 01:24 PM) I used to live right next to something similar. The developer sold the shoplots to individual buyers and years later, the mall is still a ghost mall, most of the shutters are down. I don't think there was any real management for the mall as a whole. In the end, it was the owners of the shoplots who got together to try and bring in an anchor tenant. One came and left and now, finally, there's a supermarket there. But the place is still pretty much dead. Setia Walk is somewhat different in that there already are a couple of big players that will draw the crowds. Furthermore, there is a definite catchment area with fairly relaxed competition, unlike my former place, where everyone just went to straight to IKEA-The Curse-TESCO and couldn't be bothered with the wannabe mall next door. So for example, I quickly switched gyms from fitness first at IOI Mall to Celebrity Fitness in Setia Walk when the latter started selling memberships. Who wants to go to IOI Mall when you can get what you want closer home? But SW already opened since CNY liao and till now.. now all opened.. I also almost wanna gave up going there liao.. last week, saw the steamboat banner..wanna try but enter..kenot find any steamboat inside.. even the char char teng also not open yet |

QUOTE(brewoe_1988 @ May 30 2012, 07:04 PM) The one suggested by AEIOU still need to pay toll at Sunway side. If you really wanna try 100% toll free,From KJ goto USJ. Once reaching the end of USJ, turn left towards Puchong. Just before the USJ/Puchong LDP toll, you can either make a U-turn or turn left after the bridge & use the tunnel using the riverside road (Jln Jurutera) towards Tmn Mas Sepang/ Putra Prima side. From Putra Prima side go straight about 2km and the junction of Tmn Meranti/Puchong Utama, turn right and heading toward Putra Perdana. At the ned of utra Perdana cross towards the interchange to Selangor Science Park 2 / Q-Cell HQ area.. That's Cyberjaya liao 100% toll free...all the toll free roads to.fro Puchong are here...: https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=50873845 |

QUOTE(PangurBan @ May 31 2012, 11:03 AM) Can bypass the Sunway toll what. From Kelana Jaya, get on the Federal Highway heading towards KL, then at Sg Way there take the ramp to the NPE. Then exit at Taman Maju Jaya and head for Sri Manja, cross the Klang River go right across the Kesas and pass by Taman Kinrara 4 & 2. You hit the old puchong road. Turn left, travel in the direction of Old Klang Road for a bit and at the army camp, turn right into Jalan Kinrara 1, go under the Bukit Jalil Bypass and go straight down Jalan Kinrara 6 until you get to Puncak Jalil. A bit complicated nia. Hehe.. I forgotten this route liao... Gooding way...Anyway... Wondering anyone really try comparing how much additional RM on fuel cost going this way comparing to toll? or fuel cost bypassing this will be >RM1.60?This post has been edited by stimix: May 31 2012, 11:56 AM |

QUOTE(rayng18 @ May 31 2012, 12:00 PM) I just go for the easiest and fastest. but sometimes you think is the fastest but end up getting caught in the jam Yeah.. That's why.. On my way back.. instead of using tolled LDP from USJ side, I use the riveside road.. It took me 12min to reach home using the toll free road compare to the tolled LDP of 15Min. However if 100% without jam, using LDP much faster at only 6min from the Puchong/USJ toll |

QUOTE(aeiou228 @ May 31 2012, 12:01 PM) No Problem, there is another way to enter BK3 (Yak Chee entrance) from jln puchong then exit Bkt Jalil highway without traffic light then use the flyover to cross over to BK5. Passing thru the residential area surrounding Tmn Medan/Maju Jaya no need toll lor...I also forgotten how liao... The PJS 2 toll plaza Subang Jaya bound still have to pay RM1 right ? |

One of the best comparison why I said Puchong food pricing really inflated liao is Kota Kemuning area...Over there, the hawker still selling small wantan mee at RM4/plate & those mamak food there still ~ RM5 for a fried chicken & vege. He in Puchong, min RM4.50 for small chinese food & min RM6 for mamak nasi kandar liao..darn
