Just tried Damansara Uptown Hokkien mee.

Ordered one black and one white (Cantonese fried yeen yeong). The black ok but the white cannot eat wan, just horrible! The hokkien mee okay, very dry if you like dry type. Not much ingredients though and the prawns very small and not fresh.

For Rm7.50, I'm not going back. Summore charge extra if you want more chee yau char. Not like the pork lard is very nice in the first place.

Haha.. Yeah the ying yong even at DU HQ also not nice..I Luv Hokkien mee Ying Yong better. However as Rayng18 mentioned.. they are fames for the black-black wan biggrin.gif ..BTW.. their loh mee also not bad although not really fanstastic.

Another thing that they are famous for is their Roasted Duck. I saw their roasted display the other day but they have not started selling yet kua...Anyway, I still prefer Soon Lok Roasted duck

Prefer the Hokkien Mee (KL style) at the coffee shops next to Tesco (wawasan), cheap at RM5 and can ask extra lard bits! Fresh air too..lol! However looking for the original Pg Hokkien Mee in Puchong area, a lot of misses and no hits.. sad.gif

Siew ngap still prefer to go all the way to Jinjang...cheap and naise!

Opp Ramai (formerly White Horse), I think. Behind the famous lighting shop. Nowadays rarely go there as there are too many drunken Burmese and we Thais are not so fond of the betel munching sarong wearers!

..another at Wawasan coffee shop same row as the pet shop, next to the optical shop. The guy sells at night only..still good Hokkien (char)mee.

Those looking for chap farn for dinner can try this.
Only rm4.30 no matter what you take.
Only from 4pm till 9pm.

The previous tai chow there open for a short while was good. Love their fish head curry.
Dunno why suddenly they close shop just after election.

Tiara is at the other end of Kum Sing

Btw Tesco area got 5 coffee shops. You forgot Kum Sing and Tiara

Another option for cheap and cleaner chapfan is the ex-Hoppy restaurant just opposite side of Harbour View Steamboat or at the back of Foo Hing Dim Sum.

1 meat, 1 tofu & 1 vege can range from RM4 to RM4.50/plate rclxms.gif
