According to TNB, for the 2 stamp duty, 1 stamp is to be pasted on the form and I need to go to Income Tax Office to get it stamped while the other 1 is to be done at TNB. Is this true?
I just went to TNB on Monday to TRY to get the name changed for my home. This is what seems to be required :
1. You need to photocopy the WHOLE SNP (according to the TNB guy at the counter)
2. You need to go to the Kedai Tenaga that is stated on your bill (they have it printed there at the bottom). Thats the designated Kedai Tenaga for your area.
3. You need to have the 2 RM 10 stamps which can be bought in Post Offices or even the KEdai TNB.
4. You need to fill up the Form.
5. You need to stick the stamps on the form and then go to LHDN and get both the Stamps on the form chopped/stamped!!
6. Go back to the Kedai Tenaga and submit the request plus pay the Deposit.
According to the guy at Kedai Tenaga step 5 (getting the stamps chopped) is a new process. I guess they are too lazy to get their runners to do the stamping (cut cost). The whole getting the stamp chopped is REALLY a waste of time. I had to go to LHDN, fill up a form which does not make much sense then get a number wait my turn. Get to the counter, she scratches off everything i filled up and re-writes it. Just Stamps my form. Thats it. No receipt. She doesnt key anything into the system -.-ii
I have yet to submit those forms to TNB anyways. I was too tired to drive all the way back to the KEdai Tenaga.
