Thread title renamed as on-road R/C, since from where I am seeing, there is already an off-road thread, why not an on-road thread? So, to those who are interested in on-road fun, be it touring, drifting, pan cars, rally, mini-z, micro, F1 etc, you're most welcomed to join in our discussions here.
To the old drifters, sorry for changing the thread title, but seeing how times has changed, i've also decided to follow suit |

QUOTE(ayiesz @ Sep 27 2012, 10:44 AM) 1. Plug battery to charger.2. Select NiMH mode. 3. Trickle charge it. For me, I set mine to 0.5v. Then I monitored the voltage from there. 4. Once my battery reached about ~6.5v, it still did not show any reading on the balance lead. 5. I then selected my normal Lipo charging mode (3.5A), and monitored the individual cell readings. One cell was indeed quite low (3.2 vs 3.7), but it was slowly going back up. 6. Unplug and checked, finally got some voltage. Update : this works for over-discharged lipo. if it loses capacity, then this trick may not work. it worked for me as I lost one cell This post has been edited by ericmaxman: Sep 27 2012, 11:45 AM |
