I am using the 3GS old bootrom. I am glad to report that I have successfully downgraded my BB to 5.13.04! Initially I couldn't downgrade, but realized it was because I jailbreak earlier using sn0wbreeze. I had to re-jailbreak using redsn0w, options "Install Cydia" and "Downgrade baseband", that solves the problem!!
Now testing the full capability of my GPS. So far so good .... |

Just an update, i also managed to downgrade my wife's iPhone 3GS, new bootrom to BB 5.13.04 as well!!
QUOTE(da4rul @ Jun 19 2012, 09:55 AM) use google bro.. This serial looks older than my serial, so i guess should be the old bootrom lar. Any I hv managed to downgrade both old and new bootrom. Before the downgrade, we were both on iOS 5.1.1 with BB 6.15.00, jailbreak using sn0wbreeze. What i did was just do a simple restore to stock 5.1.1 using iTunes, then jailbreak again using redsn0wAdded on June 19, 2012, 10:13 amwana ask. my iphone 3gs serial number 87951xxxxx. can i do downgrade? Added on June 19, 2012, 1:18 pm QUOTE(sonic_sphere @ Jun 19 2012, 12:32 PM) Yes now at iOS 5.1.1, BB 5.13.04This post has been edited by jackyyong: Jun 19 2012, 01:18 PM |

QUOTE(lozenges @ Jun 19 2012, 07:06 PM) currently, my 3gs is having baseband 6.15 with ios 4.2.1 plus unlock using ultrasnow. My serial is 88940.... which is the old bootrom. No issues either with old or new bootrom, as long as you are having BB 6.15.00, you can use the latest redsn0w to downgrade.my phone is having 87944.....can i downgrade the baseband? Do i need to install all the apps again after downgrading the baseband? If you hv backed up to iTunes successfully (transfer purchase from ur iPhone to iTunes), then yes, you can restore ur apps from iTunes, along with all the game save and system settings. Errr ..... assuming all ur apps are legally bought right? Added on June 19, 2012, 8:51 pm QUOTE(singchaii @ Jun 19 2012, 07:59 PM) i tried many time to downgrade my 3gs baseband but i always stuck at redsnow waiting for reboot, how to solve this? Try restoring to stock iOS 5.1.1 first using iTunes. Then jb using redsn0w by selecting ur ipsw, install cydia and downgrade ipad baseband. This post has been edited by jackyyong: Jun 19 2012, 08:51 PM |

QUOTE(D.Sync @ Jul 1 2012, 12:12 PM) Hey guys, will jailbreak affect the carrier such as signal interruption, call hangups? I will be using the phone on oversea for a couple of good o' years. Don't think there will b such thing. Unless u install a lot of junk that might make the phone hang or slow down. Otherwise jailbreaking does not affect the carrier |

QUOTE(greenlp_87 @ Jul 27 2012, 11:21 AM) Sometimes it could be the cable problem as well. I tried using el-cheapo iPhone USB cable, always keep on stuck. When I use back the original Apple USB cable, then problem solved. |

QUOTE(Nickysnipe @ Aug 19 2012, 01:04 PM) Sorry for a stupid question. Will cydia remember what i downloaded? I mean if i update my OS and JB again, will there be some kind of account of cydia and it will auto download back all the tweaks and apps? Try AppInfo from the BigBoss repository. It tells you which tweaks you downloaded from Cydia. Just write them down and install them again after you JB |
