Are you using a locked set?

Using absinthe on an existing 5.0.1 is known to take time. Most people do a fresh restore before running absinthe but since Apple no longer signs 5.0.1 you cannot use this option. If your backup file is huge, then most likely this is the reason while it takes a while for absinthe to jailbreak your 4s because the exploit uses the backup file ....

redsn0w is known to not being able to do activation easily for locked sets. I am not sure if sn0wbreeze works with 4s but there's no harm in trying. One thing for sure, you cannot use custom firmware via sn0wbreeze because the limera1n exploit doesn't work with A5 chip

Which country set is yours? Looks like australian set. Correct? What ios are you in?

Ya lo..everyone waiting for it but unfortunately has been delayed again.

cydia will do auto saving for SHSH, just set the tiny umbrella to get shsh from cydia, and u can get it already.

in this case u should buy R-Sim to unlock and activate this phone 1st, then only do jailbreaking...

contact Wimpykid to get the sim...

or try this before u decide to buy the sim, if can work then u r lucky, if can't then u need the sim :

1. press home button until you exit sos call screen
2. dial 112, call begins when we press power button until it comes off the screen give you cancel and return to the caller hung up the call and wait a few seconds and enable normal screen
3. jailbreak with absinthe

use CFW 4.2.1 using sn0wbreeze...

u should already knew that SHSH doesn't need jailbroken iphone to be saved...

btw, to solve your problem, u should buy at&t sim card..

first of all, you need to be more specific with your problem

1. Where did you get the iPhone? Is it a locked set or a factory unlocked version (you bought it from maxis/digi/Celcom etc etc)

2. When did this happen? After you install an app or the first time you connect to iTunes. Showing us a screen cap without telling us what happened is very counter productive.

It's an Australian set. How do you know that it is factory unlocked? Yes they do sell Australian sets as factory unlocked but they also sell factory unlocked sets in the USA as well. I would think that if your friend bought it from an Australian carrier, it will be locked to that carrier.

Try putting the iPhone in DFU mode an do a fresh restore to 5.1.1. This of course is not jailbreakable at the moment.

u need to find out what carrier locked u (coud be Optus, Voda, Virgin, etc)

and try get original sim from ebay or other sites...

other solution is pay for Factory Unlock Service...

Guys, quick question.
I have a locked set on iOS 5.1
Let's say when they jailbreak comes out for 5.1.1, and I need to update to 5.1.1 to jailbreak.
Problem is, the phone is activated now if I were to update to 5.1.1, how do I bypass the activation screen ?
Problem is, I do not have the sim card.
Any other way ? Can gevey be used to bypass ?

it's IMEI method, registering your device to apple server as unlocked devices, price range from 300-350, thus, only worth if you can get the device cheap enough , unfortunately many seller sell it overprice...
