This is normal. Just respring (via SBSettings) and it should be okay again

This is how APTBackup is supposed to work

1. Backup your tweaks (or the list of your tweaks) with APTBackup
2. Backup iPhone via iTunes
3. Fresh restore your iPhone
4. Jailbreak via Absinthe
5. Restore your iPhone backup via iTunes
6. Install APTBackup via Cydia
7. Restore your tweaks via APTBackup.

The restore from APTBackup is still goin on ... dunnow for how long, it's been more than 10 minutes. I'm not optimistic that it will work because I think a lot of the repo is down.

Lucky I managed to download it but I don't remember the nice themes I had for it ... need to check my iPhone 4 and my iPad 2

Aiyooo ...D-Frog, relax bro ...... where exactly is your Music located? Do you use the Music App to play it or something else?

I think iTunes does not backup the songs. It backs up the playlist but not the physical song. I have in my iTunes a tab called Music where I ticked the Sync Music (not all but selected playlists).

iTunes backup photos. This one you do not need to sync with iTunes.

Not sure if APTBackup will restore the settings. It's been running for 45 minutes and it still has not completed the restore. Looks like I will have to do a fresh restore (yes, it has to be done that way) and re-jailbreak. Stupid tweak.

Settle down

1. What iPhone are you using
2. What firmware was it on before?
3. How did you upgrade the firmware?

Successfully jailbroken my iPhone 4 .... that's 2 iDevices. Now need to jailbreak the iPad 2

What Operating System are you using? If Absinthe is not working, you may try redsn0w first to jailbreak tethered THEN download Rockin' Rocco from iPhone dev to make the jailbreak untethered. That's another option which reminds me that I need to update the first post

The contacts, the settings, the sms and the photos and the settings (all your wifi passwords) are saved in the backup file.

Added on May 26, 2012, 1:47 amI've given up on APTBackup. It's been more than an hour so have rebooted the iPhone and looks like I will have to do a fresh restore .... doesn't take that long other than restoring my 229 Apps. Damn.

Re-Jailbreak your 3Gs and Cydia should work fine.

At the moment battery feels like 5.0.1. But need to get the battery drain to 0 percent an charge fully to reset the battery then we'll see

Most likely because your apps are not the legal kind. You might want to remove those apps.

You need to install winterboard first and then download the themes. Cydia may still be acting up.

You can try both. Absinthe is the easiest but if you have any issues (pod2g did mentioned that heh had some issues with the 3Gs but that was supposed to be solved). If absinthe does not work, then use the redsn0w tethered, Rocky Raccoon method to untether.

What items are on queue? The apps or the cydia tweaks?
