i see u got 6.0.1 ipsw file, but without shsh saved u cant downgrade right? i tried using tiny umbrella backup 6.0.1 shsh but failed as it says that "too late" to backup edi as apple dont sign for 6.0.1 edi dont know what it mean thou...any idea??? thx

Evasi0n iOS 6 / 6.1 Jailbreak For iPhone 5 And Other Devices Announced, Release Likely This Week



This is just in. The Evad3rs team have just announced Evasi0n, an iOS 6 / 6.1 untethered jailbreak tool for Windows, Mac and Linux. While the tool hasn’t been released yet, it is currently in final testing stages, and if a recent tweet of MuscleNerd is anything to go by, release is likely set for Sunday.

did anybody say that they will be screwed? Nope, @Porie even asked if he can do a full restore after he did an OTA on his friend's iPhone and I replied that he can try and I believe he has successfully restored the iPhone 4s via iTunes.

The last iPhone I have (which has been fully restored to 6.1 and has its backup restored to normal) is the 4s. I don't have the iPhone 5 because I did not upgrade to that phone (I went the Windows Phone route and bought the Lumia 920) so I do apologize if some of my post pasal iPhone 5 is incorrect. Most iPhone for Malaysia uses the GSM firmware but I guess the iPhone 5 is a bit different.

I have been jailbreaking and unlocking iPhones since the 3Gs days. I now have an iPhone 4, iPhone 4s and 2 iPad 2, all jailbroken one way or another.

Read up the thread, yes it's 2400 post long, but almost all of the questions have been answered.

I concentrate mostly now in the Windows Phone section, so maybe after this thread which is close to 2500 post, somebody else can take over. Someone like bro @yezhacolic

Sorry bro, cant answer you this. Need to ask sifu here. I only JB & unlock my ip2G & ip3G since both are locked set. I just choose to upgrade manually & not auto download from iTunes for the 6.0.1 & 6.1, thats why it's there... . For 6.0.2 i use iTunes auto download so dun have the ipsw for that.

But this time tangan gatal to jb my ip5, dunno why..

There is a window where TU can get the SHSH from Apple server. Once Apple comes up with a newer firmware version, the window for the previous SHSH signing closes. So since Apple has come up with firmware version 6.1, then TU can only get from apple server SHSH for 6.1

now getting the 6.1 SHSH is not a bad idea since Evad3rs team will come up with the 6.1 jailbreak. So save that 6.1 SHSH.

i restored to 6.1 fresh the moment evad3rs mentioned its safe to upgrade .

So far been very good with it, battery life seems to have improved a little bit , probably an extra 10 %
