dude, u r totally wrong. u guys can still jailbreak even if u update using software updates but need to do full restore first using itunes when u want to jailbreak it.
*
Dude, yes of course you can jailbreak if you do another Full Restore. If you do a full restore like what @perrrhhh or @Porie has done then you can jailbreak. Don't be so quick to point people are wrong okay.

My point is that don't come here whining why you can't jailbreak when you did the update via OTA.

If you need to do another full restore, then do the bloody full restore in the first place la.

Masuk bagi salam dulu la.

I got so confused with the answers. Apparently two answers were given.
Anyway I used iPhone5,2_6.1_10B143_Restore.ipsw; and got bounced back with error 3194. Then I changed the hosts file (C:\windows\system32\drivers\hosts) I got to restore the phone.

So still, until now, what is the real answer, really?

A1429 came with two models, CDMA and GSM.
After checking my last 4 characters of serial number with iLookup,
the result returned as;
Model No: A1429 (EMC 2610*)
Model ID: iPhone5,1

So currently I have had installed iPhone5,2 into my phone. What can happen?

How to differentiate every iPhone 5 model
The problem is, A1429 has got 2 models. Hence I got confused when some said 5,1 and some supported 5,2.
Try to read the post above your reply, I checked with the source.

LOL so now I got confused. Should I download the iPhone5,1 and restore it, or just leave it. Don't know what's the consequence as this is my first.

Thanks for the clarification.
Did you manage to get through with iPhone5,2 then?

During restoration of the iPhone5,2 I had error 3194 (This device isn't eligible for the requested build), which was fixed by changing hosts entry.
I did not try iPhone5,1 so it's nice to know your experience.

EDIT: And no problem with my phone signal, wifi, whatsoever so far. hmm.gif
