Speed/smoothness Eh really? Always felt aosp roms are heavier, slower than stock QUOTE(antt00 @ Apr 25 2012, 03:36 PM) Speedmod is only for samsung rom. Dun go flashing on AOKP. Yeah, Samsung ROMs only. Wah, you know my preference. :SAdded on April 25, 2012, 3:37 pm Pikachu is always on stock rom. Question is which one. |

The wifi wakelocks is a big problem
Seems like Siyah enables NetBIOS requests on the phone that makes the phone never go to sleep. |

QUOTE(Shizuru @ Apr 26 2012, 09:41 AM) Already check. No other app was causing the drain. Only kernel values were there. Paste your BBS log? Sometimes kernel flashing can produce unstable battery readings. Need a few hours to let it settle.Wifi was on during that time though but with Siyah I only lost 2% in 4 hours while idle with wifi on :hmm |

QUOTE(antt00 @ Apr 26 2012, 03:51 PM) Ask pikachu make a script for you to run with script manager on startup. Yeah, I can make a script that can do this Added on April 26, 2012, 3:51 pm Prefer good old superuser. Some app got problem with super su. And yes, SuperSU is buggy, nearly impossible to update the binary in some kernels. |

QUOTE(-kytz- @ May 4 2012, 05:08 PM) How much sms/call do you use? I use Umobile with free 30 SMS and 100minutes of calls. Every month I use 50+SMSes with lots of whatsapp/google talk. Almost 100mins of calls. Hence my bill is around 30ish with RM28 being the mobile internet for 500MB.I use about 100+ sms a month but nowadays I try to cut down by using whatsapp Calls around 50 minutes/month. So they're roughly: SMS: (50X 0.05) + (50X0.15) = RM2.50+RM7.50=RM10 Calls: (25X 0.12) + (25X0.20) = RM3+RM5=RM8 So I spend around less than RM20 on call/sms only ----------------------------------------------------- What about yours? |

QUOTE(nehalem176 @ May 5 2012, 12:13 AM) anyone in here have test this app, Provision Optimizer Premium Need opinion after you had enable Virtual Memory (Swap), of course it consume my internal memory space for memory swap but i got to admit, it's friggin' fast... at my side already tune 4096.. just awesome... just wondering how fast if the phone already built in RAM for more than 1GB Employing swap in a 1GB RAM phone is not useful actually. Swap is mostly used for phones that have low RAM in the first place. |

QUOTE(nehalem176 @ May 5 2012, 12:29 AM) Respect your opinion, pikachu... That is my intention for posting it. To be frank i can feel slightly difference before and after install this app... You can even try it.. The init.d scripts are based on ThunderBolt! (or something along those lines). I'm not sure since I didn't buy the app. If you look at your /etc/init.d and tell me the scripts, I can probably determine where they come from. |

QUOTE(nehalem176 @ May 5 2012, 01:16 AM) thanks for your concern. slap together make my phone... i dont know... even better.. anyway im still respect your point of view.. I would think that you will get better results with ThunderBolt! as I see some parts of the script come from it (hence I guess that's where your performance is attributed from). |

QUOTE(ellimist @ May 5 2012, 11:44 AM) Ah yea TB, last piece in the puzzle I need lol Yes, it's compatible. Only the main CWM zip, not the addons. The restore file for AOSP isn't there unless you provide these files:Been meaning to use it actually. Erm, wanted to ask: - Is it compatible with aosp? (currently on hydrogenics) - Think I tried last time, but when I used the restore file, I got bootloops. Don't think I redownloaded from your thread since the last time I used it, any chance something has changed for ICS? - Init.d tweaks come before services like NSTools right? Was kinda lazy to amend script everytime I wanted something changed /system/bin/app_process /system/bin/system_server /system/lib/libsqlite.so /system/lib/libsqlite_jni.so Yes, init.d should come before NSTools. |

QUOTE(destEX @ May 5 2012, 03:26 PM) pikachu, when you say main cwm, it also includes the extra steps like using script manager to run the sql, zipalign and mountings in boltscripts, those steps are okay for ics, right? Yes. All those are compatible (though refer to the 2nd post of my main thread for descriptions of each one). Only use the one you want to, not all.QUOTE(ellimist @ May 5 2012, 03:58 PM) Ah cool, thanks alot pika. Will provide you with the files later tonight, can help me build a restore file just in case? Yeah, just provide the link to the restore files. Will flash your main CWM zip tonight |

QUOTE(ellimist @ May 5 2012, 08:02 PM) restore files Upload the files. I'll check them Many thanks pika Oh, wanted to ask as well, in my init.d, seem to have stuff that came with the ROM, including: 00check 01zipalign 02sysctl 03firstboot 05freemem 06removecache 07fixperms 09cron 10sdboost 98tweaks (this one seems to say remount,noatime,barrier=0,nobh. for system, data and cache, which I thought was something similar to yours. Wondering if these stuff would create conflicts, maybe I should delete some of em? |
