Speedmod is only for samsung rom. Dun go flashing on AOKP.  tongue.gif No lar smoothness is always aosp win. The best place i notice is the folders on my Nova launcher. AOSP/KP very smooth scrolling, samsung rom there are lags.

Pikachu is always on stock rom. Question is which one.  tongue.gif
*
Oh ok, no speedmod for me.

Hmm yea aosp smoother in general (but I've never tried ICS sammy), but speedwise still feel samsung ROMs are faster

Well, if it beats the transformer prime's quad core tegra 3, why not? Save heat, save battery  biggrin.gif
*
Yeah exactly biggrin.gif

Theoretically should be more battery efficient, and can still beat quad core 45nm. Ok la tu

i've seen the benchmark for s3. it is about the same as asus transformer or slightly better.
*
That was based on Exynos 4212, which is a dual core 32nm

Now samsung's saying that they're using quad core 32nm, previous benchmark could be a prototype.

Either way, it's just a benchmark, and even if assuming the same, 32nm technology would help with battery savings

smaller nM mean better arrrr?

sorry...noob in electronic stuff...
*
Generally so.

Like if you follow the new HTCs, some ppl say benchmark for One S (dual core, 32nm tech) is better than One X (quad core, 45nm tech). And from what I understand lower nm also saves battery much (more efficient)

up until now dont know the exact processor it use. have to wait for the official one. but still, although s3 will be launch within this short period. i will still hold on to my s2 for at least another year. nod.gif
*
The one I posted is from Samsung press release biggrin.gif

Could be that 4212 suddenly got rebranded as quad and that is actual benchmark, but seems odd to do so.

Is Hydrog3n still best ROM to have for I9100?

Went to XDA and I think the thread is being pushed back. Any comment on which ROM to take now? Gonna flash another friend's phone.

Being pushed back meaning? O.o

How to check ah dude
QUOTE(zyrl @ Apr 27 2012, 06:46 PM)
Lets say my standard S2 standard battery, Li-Ion 1650 mAh.

Then i bought a portable charger of 5000mAh.

Does that means i can fully charge my S2  = 5000 / 1650 =3 full charge?
*
Yeah sort off. Its not 100% efficient, but on a high level pretty much about there

Haven't followed Siyah thread recently.

3.1.2 mount points are find for me on hydrogenics, any idea if 3.2b is good to go for such ROMs as well?

Oh noticed update on hydronenics as well, but don't see that mount points have been changed or anything hmm.gif

They open shop to earn money, surely they want you to make the mistake or intentionally go online, whatever... so long as money flows directly to them.

If you use titanium backup, then can restore data
*
Using titanium, which should I choose to backup:
- all user apps
- all system data
- or both of the above?
*
Depends what you want to do.

When you change ROMs/ want to start fresh, ideally just do the user apps, not system data. When changing ROMs, can cause conflict. System data is divided into red and green. Certain green ones are fine to restore (like wifi access points passwords), the rest ideally don't restore.

But like I guess you can backup system data. And use it when you wanna restore certain things you've messed up (dono, terdelete SMS or something like that?). I rarely do it though.

I have sms back up so that is covered. I just want to maintain my game stats. upgrading from GB to ICS Miui. So I don't want system apps, but the titanium backup first options is just user apps, and it does not say data. Anyway, let's give it a try.
*
Ah then do user apps only, will avoid alot of problems smile.gif Esp since you upgrading upwards, don't touch system stuff.

It actually backs up data as well. They seriously need to change that description x.x

Or rather, when you run batch "Backup user app", you'll notice ontop of the list that appears, there's data, app or both as options.

Agree. But its still a more worthy buy for people not using s2.
S3 is clearly  better choice than HTC 1x.
*
In what way is it "clearly" the better choice.

Haven't seen alot of it, but personally, based on specs alone, seems pretty darn similar. One X has better built anyways

And just like the HOX, US variant will proly have better performance with better battery efficiency since it would use the S4. Meeehhhh

But waiting for more details, hopefully it's another powerhouse hidden in a meh-ness announcement laugh.gif

I really don't understand why people are getting all itchy about this Sgs3. What do you expect..a genie coming out of phone ? Wonder why Sgs2 was a hit ? Because of it's fluidity. I've used One X and even Xperia S. Still not near to the Sgs2 in terms of smoothness. And Sgs3 with HD screen and true Multi-Tasking, even more fluid. PenTile ? How many of us use microscope to view the screen lol. I admit the design is a bit let down but who cares if the phone performs well. The iPhone software and hardware all look the same still people buy it, cause of it's performance. There's xda out there to take care of this beast. Wireless charging and tons of new features..I really don't understand why so much hate lol. I'll get it whatever it takes, a loyal Sammy fan.
*
Yes SGS2 is smooth. And that's the thing, HD screen aside, don't you want a mega boost of performance from current S2? And seriously, quad is not the way to provide that boost.

i was thinking about removable battery, expandable storage, and probably better CPU&GPU combination.
anyway sorry if i offended you. its just my opinion.

notice that lately are uptight times. lots of people arguing over which is better. should avoid commenting on this sensitive topic to avoid being flamed by opposite team's supporters.

as which is better is not that important, just see which one got more sales, then have more support in xda,

but this time, 1x n s3 seems quite equally matched. the difference is not as large as s2 and sensation.
It will be a nice competition.

i'll stick with my s2, and continue observe at the battlefield.  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
Eh no la not offended, pai seh if I sounded rude notworthy.gif

Ah ok, didn't think of the whole battery/storage.

CPU no idea, GPU wise seems to be way ahead. But all that power is for naught if there's no utilisation of it. HOX has Tegrazone lol

Yup, definitely HOX vs S3 is alot closer than the nonsense which was sensation laugh.gif
