Hi all,

last year would be my 5th year of employment and never have i files my tax before (my salary in that past 3 years was lower.)
in 2009 & 2010 tax filing i did nothing and am considering to do it this year but have no idea or how much would i be penalized.

Attached is the screen shot for last year tax, can anybody help me how to proceed from here?

I think you might get back some pcb that you have paid.

Better try to fill up. Since u have EA form, it means that you should have an income tax number.

EA form doesn't automatically means got tax number.

I have EA form for my dec 2011 income (first income in malaysia), but no income tax number. I had to open a file myself by filling up the relevant forms on the hasil website.

Then request for PIN and just did online submission for my tax for 2011.

Is everything under the B segment eligible for tax?

Or do you just put in the B1 Gaji Kasar as the amount when filing cause claims fall under The tip kasar....

if you have been deducted PCB from your salary, then for sure you have income tax no. check with ur HR for Income Tax No. if ur HR 'slow', go call LHDN urself. same case did happen to my wife.

Above 25k per annum should already be taxed... So yes you should do filing... Even if you're not taxed for the first time, but as a responsible citizen you should...

The more you should do filing if your company do tax reductions from your monthly income... so you should do a tax relief and get your refund...

You all should pop into the IRB E-Lejar once in a while to see if you're in a credit or debit position.

How could you not have a tax file number and yet pay tax on your bonus? Refer to your HR Dept

It is better open the file in income tax even though your earning is lower.

Bro , Based on your EA you might get back your PCB for the past 2 years .

the first thing to do is open an account and acitivate it in LHDN .Why not pay a visitto LHDN for a while. They will guide you.Use e filing it is extremely easy and fast.

It is better to do now rather than later .

Use this calculator.

http://savemoney.my/the-savemoney-my-malay...tax-calculator/

put your total salary, i think below approximately RM30,000 a year, no need but if you just over, maybe you have to unless you can claim some tax relief

whichever the case, whether you are taxed or not, you should file.

on occassions they might trace back and ask you resubmit, so its better to be ready than not.
