It is definitely better than Vios in terms of technology.Powerful ? I guess ,yes it is.(In my opinion)

Yes Prius C is more powerful, you won't feel the acceleration due to PC use e-CVT, but if u try compare with other car when pick up. Then you will find out how powerful is it.

PC definately no problem go to Genting, few of us had drive to camaron & genting.

Prius C is millions speed. There is no steps, the transmission is fully variable.

Don't think vios and city under power when climb up to genting, , may be the car handling make you feel under power , because every corner you have to brake hard and accerelate again
that's why many peoples upgrade to low spring,adjustable suspension, sports tyre, strut bar and anti roll bar
but prius c handling is totally different, and can say is the best among vios, yaris, altis , prius 1.8 and camry, almost same handling with Suzuki Swift but high speed more stable than swift, thanks to toyota more firm but still comfortable suspension+aerodynamics+room bar(under seat battery protector)+wider body, if we change to michelin ps3 195/55/15, handling even better
In terms of power, yes, PC is better than vios and city, after drive for 3500km , the car more powerful and the pickup totally different , can't imagine after 10,000km service , how's the power and FC

Yup. I think it will only go up. As in Malaysia. Things only go up . And once up will not go down. ^^ . But that just my 2 cents.

Like opposition say if they takeover, no more excise duty, however, with our tax regime, insurance and road tax will be more expensive. Hence its dua kali lima. But then.. why we pay extra to govt. Hence for now. I think PC is still a better buy than other car. But then. If you thinking of resale. End of year is coming soon. hence if you wanted to, can get 2013 car. maybe they have new facelift by then.

Prius v is big but not available here
May be you can consider Chery Easter, big and cheap but FC rate is very poor.

PC back seats can be lifted down so you don't worry about size when you need to carry something big. If you need to carry things and got passengers at back seats on the road REGULARLY, then PC is not an ideal car.

Why you need a spacious car if your back seats are always empty? Big car come with more fuel consumption.

So again, this is your call.

My last car was a 7-seater Renault Grand Scenic. I used it for 3 years during which the third row was used for less than 15 times or 5 times a year or not even once in 2months.

Seem you not the decision maker of buying car. Guess at the end you will go for petrol engine car due to Hybrid is too new for them.

Maybe a CHEAP nice Myvi or Alza will be more suitable your family need. 100% low maintenance & good resale value.
