Dear PC owner,
After driving my car for a while, there is noticeable and annoying "eik eik" sound coming from back seat when driving on uneven road or enter pot hole and vibrating sound from the plastic cover below the steering.

The plastic sound can be eradicated when I hold it with my hand, so I suspecting is that cover issue. And the back seat, when I fold it and unfold it again, the sound gone for a while. Anyone experience this?

I used to owned a Wira and I only sent to SC once, ie first 1k. I used it for 11years and it had never broken down half way on the road .I serviced the car my self most of the time, oil, air filter, oil filter, and spark plug.  Air con and alternator never mulfunctioned even after running for 200k+km.
For PC, I think the local SC guys probably just do all these basic things. The point here is: you can DIY if you want to save money and time.

Hmm... It is quite pricey, but is there like a workshop outside that can service hybrids? I don't want those that say they can and in the end they messed up your car...

u really my sifu....  because i read the us manual and the SA also tell me if u miss any service, they will void the warranty.. so i worry.. actually im thinking to service my own once i got mine.. but 9xk car if got anything happend then repair is kao kao one...

btw, do you service your own vios before claim that sterling rack?

Lately have been pushing the PC so FC drop.
I manage to get 26-30 km/l while I concern about FC. Don't look at the Eco score, look at the Fuel consumption meter. Accel as fast as you can (FC ~ 10km/L) then release the throttle and maintain the FC meter (around 30km/L) the speed with maintain. When the FC hit 40 km/L the speed will slow down very fast so try maintain between 30~40 km/L range.

Speed ranging from 60-80km/h to hit 30-40 km/L range, 90 or above will drop to 20-30 km/L range.

Yet to try max speed, hit 145km/h on highway when overtaking thou.
I think PC is japan made, so should have the 155 km/h limiter installed.

Hi. I can confirm there is auto lock. My car with default autolock during delivery. During my 2nd service i ask the SA at Sec 19 PJ to have a look. He double check with the technician and they confirm it is able to reset. Look for Ahmad Asbar the SA at Sect 19 PJ. Hope will help.

Added on June 29, 2012, 10:58 pmHope the autolock issue is closed. The technician just went for training and prius c autolock can be set on or off at SC. However, for the bigger prius there is no this function. Salesman been told initially there is no autolock function for the PC. So a lot of misinformation here...

I'm considering to buy Prius C but I have a few doubts that might need clearing:

1) Does anyone know the real cost for replacing the battery pack? I read on the first post that it is around 8k, but then there's another value behind which wrote 20k? =/

My salesman shown me the price list. 20K is the rumours flying around to scare you all off. Hybrid is slowly introduce into Asia market and I believe the battery will become cheaper due to a lot of demands and I predict many third party hybrid battery will out soon...

2) I tried searching around but does anyone know how long does the Prius battery life last? (I ask about Prius because it's been out for a long time)

The actual lifespan do not know but there was a testing on taxi in Australia showing that Prius 1.8 hybrid battery can run till 500,000km...by that time I believe you already change another car, plus and minus a bit...let's said 300,000KM, is it enough for you?


3) The warranty on Prius last time was 10 years right? Why is it only 3 years for the battery for Prius C? Please correct me if I'm wrong, thanks =)

I guess PC won't fit you. Probably Toyota 86 or GTI will satisfy your power hunger.

PC is main to be fuel economy car so you won't really feel the power & the G-Force when acceleration.

Most of us change our driving style just to save fuel & get more mileage per litter.

Is this normal? It seems difficult to get the battery fully charged because when the level reached to about 6-7 bars, the car will start to use more electric motor and the battery level will hover around 3-6 bars most of the time.

It also took literally minutes to drain out the battery to 2-3 bars from 5-6 bars when I drive slowly while looking for a parking spot.

Sure no Autolock and CANNOT be enable back (this is what they told me after I complaint gao gao), only the 1 guy (maybe in entire MY) got it, and SA in Sec 19 confirmed it. They also highlighted it to HQ....

finally have my Prius C tinted, Locktech installed and horn changed. This Sat will add windows airpress. btw, the airpress need to be pre-order. It will take 1 to 2 to arrive.
