Soon you shall experience this great car biggrin.gif
Yeah I remember seeing the concept version, was way diff including the interior. I didn't really mind the headlights up there, though it felt a little weird. I like the way it is now hehe.

@chrymnd
Drove to Karambunai and got about 26/27km/L on the way and 28.2km/L coming back.

I have found a long perfectly straight 5 inch scratch on my car, no idea how it got there, wasn't there when I looked this morning but I saw it before i went out. Will need to go for the coating asap. Also noticed one on my rear bumper, maybe from a rock, but hard to tell how it even got there.  Even though it was barely a surface scratch, the scratch in my heart is deep deep doh.gif
I had no trouble with this car and kept up with the traffic flow fine and also some overtaking. Can't wait to drive it up to Kundasang.

Oh yeah, thanks...

Note: Prius C 1.5 : total tax exemption RM97,146.
Note: Prius 1.8 Luxury : Total Tax Exemption RM134,500.

If no Tax Exemption :
Prius C 1.5 = current Price RM97,000. + Tax 97,146. = (RM194,146)
Prius 1.8 Luxury = current price RM145,500. + Tax 134,500. = (RM280,000)

If no govt tax exemption, and local UMW takes higher margin, PriusC could easily be priced at over RM200K !!!!

Some previously posted details:
Our Prius C is imported from Toyota Motor Asia Pacific Pte Ltd with AP granted to OTOMOBIL SEJAHTERA SDN BHD, a subsidiary of UMW.
On the customs declaration form, FOB cost is RM66,198.43 plus Freight RM3,009.69and insurance RM58.88. 10% Sales Tax of RM6,926.70 is payable while Import and Excise duties are exempted.
Total cost is RM76,193.70 at Port Klang. UMW has to add local distribution and marketing costs. Selling Price is RM93,967 (OTR is RM97,000). It seems the margin for Prius C could be below 18% ! (Initially PriusC was to be RM103900 at almost 30% margin for UMW. Maybe with Honda due to release Jazz hybrid, UMW top gun decided to just earn 18% at OTR RM97k for PriusC to be competitive here. This strategy also helps to draw customers to the much higher priced Prius.)

If no exemptions, 30% Import Duty is RM20,780.10 , 75% Excise Duty is RM67,535.33 and then 10% Sales tax is RM15,758.24 for this CBU car! Total Exemption = RM97,146.97!

Full CBU Japan except for local Reverse Sensors and Alarm systems with cabin motion sensors, and the stick-on number plates.
Audio headunit is oem from Pioneer DEH-M8247ZT a 2009 model with 4x40W output and value about RM220 online.

I was single previously... now married to my white blonde husband prius c smile.gif

Just to share, I drove my PC to Old Klang Rd Honda showroom yesterday to collect my refund for my booking fee. I reached there at about 6pm and the moment I drove into the showroom, I can feel the salesmen stares.... about 12-15 salesmen supposedly waiting for time to go back...LOL..All staring at my car and when I walked in...i was the last customer walking in..  the salesman that passed me the cheque did not even bother to ask me why I changed my mind. I spent less than 2 minutes at the counter with all the salesman and walked out back to my car. It was so comical!! Hahaha... tongue.gif
I just had a feeling that if I were to go to the washroom, and later to find that my PC will kena scratch. Haha

The honda sa must have show u eagle eyes. I bet u also had prepare ur script to shoot them If they talk anything about u or ur car rite. But u get the trophy la. So far I dare not drive to honda showroom also. Scared of their eagle eyes. Hahaha.

Wow. I love this part "slap honda in the face" hahaha. Sounds offensive to honda. But we quietly share here. I always wanted to show them how is toyota hybrid cos they always talk bad about toyota when I survey for insight. Finally we have a heroin slap them. 12-15 salesman on their face. They must have que up there wanting a slap. Haha.

Bro, initially I wanted to book vw polo gti. But after I test drive both, find this car cheaper than 40k, plus much more comfortable. In terms of nvh, seat, feeling while driving. Vw polo don't play wit it. If dsg gearbox, confirmed 4 years u need to change a new gear box. Much more costly that ur battery and durability also lower than toyota. I compare both, then I go for this pc cutie. Haha

When you go into settings, then choose screen (it's the 2nd option from top), then somewhere there will be one for your scores and you can choose between monthly or personal. One thing I am uncertain of is whether it still logs both but only displays one at a time. I'll find out soon. (Update: yes it seems to still track both regardless of which one you choose to display, that's awesome).
Oh and those 2011 dates from the pictures was because when I got the car Toyota did not set the date and time, no biggie but I would've like it setup proper, feels like they rushed it, especially with the slightly dirty condition the car was in when I received it.
I had mine booked on the 5th of March.

How do all of you find the radio reception? I found mine unclear at times (slight static) on certain stations (and this was in my city area, kk), maybe needs finetuning. Will get back to you guys. I'm going to search for mats & seat covers next. I think need to get a custom seat cover made - when I got the car there was this flimsy white seat cover material and also a plastic one for the driver seat, I think I can bring it to someone to also measure that one because it seems to fit ok (I should make spares in case a pet comes in), but then I will also get them to measure the seat itself for a proper fit.

When I got my car I also got some free gifts - umbrella x2, mini hand held battery operated orange looking fan thing x2 (maybe can be mega eco and use this instead of aircon haha jk), whiteboard notebook x2 (very useful for me hehe, so forgetful)

When I call my SA I will tell them about the solar film warranty they forgot to go over with me (both the UMW copy and customer copy is still with me and not filled out), and also the rust at the bottom (or perhaps I will also bring it to the attention when I go to my first service).

Quite frankly I never looked to see if people were staring at my car (I only noticed one guy looked out his window when I was driving on my way before I hit the dirt road to Tambunan and I did a sharp U-turn) because in the periphery of my vision I would halfway look at the eco score and car speed, else I had my eyes on the road like a hawk. When I drove through the rain I did notice the mileage did drop a little bit. Speaking of water, I had my key in my pockets and I was rinsing the car with my hose and when the water went over the front door handles it kept trying to lock and unlock the car door o_O I guess it's making the two strips contact. It had no problem when I was driving it through rain, and that problem only showed up when I was spraying water on it with a hose. Anyone else encounter this? I guess it makes sense since your hand/thumb acts to bridge the two points I suppose. Maybe that is disabled when the car is moving so if there is a big splash it won't happen.
*
I don't encounter car wash issue yet. But whenever I drive thru potholes or clogging water on the road or rainy days, sometimes I can see the esp sign flashing.

No idea, haven't broken it in yet but I hear there may be a limiter at around 108mph/174kph (I can't confirm this). One guy on another forum has already reached that speed (from the US).
*
Today I hit on highway around 178. Feels like still able to make another 10kmh more.

Added on June 1, 2012, 3:38 amBro, anyone after 1st k service encounter this? After my 1st k service 2 days back, I feel that my ev mode less functioning. Before that, everytime I let go pedal even half pedal I can see the ev signal on. But now I need to let go the pedal all and accelerate abit again only I can see the ev is on. Which means much more slower. Anyone encounter this?

This car, when it goes really fast, the fuel consumption is totally different already.

Were you on eco mode? I think I kinda of noticed the same thing, but I do know that if I take foot off accelerator and then slightly on it will be EV mode, I think at the beginning when I got the car it switched to EV mode when it past the threshold EV threshold without having to let go of the accelerator fully, don't notice it doing that now. I feel like my EV is lacking the accelerating speed it did when I first used it (when I accelerate even at the slightest touch now it seems to really spike the speed on the EV eco score zone but the car doesn't move as fast on batts like it was before), or maybe I'm just getting too used to the speeds in this car everything passing by just seems like someone can run beside my car lol (when I'm driving at 60-70kph it feels like 30kph).

Ok I think I got the answer for why my Apacer USB card reader *might* not have worked with the DVD-AVN - in the manual it states that "Devices connected through a USB hub will not work using the unit". Time for me to get a usb thingy.

Don't know if it's my imagination or what, but yeah I think I will see if it kicks on EV mode again with halfway pedal cos I don't think it's doing it now just like yours. I've only done about 450++km's or so. Another thing that you mentioned about the fc at higher speed, I did notice something like that lately but I wasn't sure till you said something about it. Can you give anymore details (what kind of speeds and how fast mileage drops, just general estimates)? Do you feel as if it is harder to match/beat previous mileage score?
*
Did you check if UMW put in the correct grade engine oil? It is supposed to be 0-20W and there have been some claims that they put in 0-30W due to 0-20W is not common. This will affect FC. My bro faced the same problem in S'pore. He complained to Toyota and the SC (dunno what ord) promise to change the oil for him to 0-20W in 5k service. By right 5k service no need to change engine oil. Also, on the 1k service cost which differ earlier (as claimeded by some members here), could it be due to the oild grade? 0-30W cheaper than 0-20W.

1st service everyone is rm104 i believe, no diff.

the diff was on second service.

i dunno nuts about enjin oil, but now u mention it, initially my car the "cruising range" was 900km on full tank when i pump petrol.
now i pump liao it juz show 720++ nia. also was after my first servis.

so should i insist on 0-20W oil on 5K servis?

I don't encounter car wash issue yet. But whenever I drive thru potholes or clogging water on the road or rainy days, sometimes I can see the esp sign flashing.

0-30W is more "pekat" than 0-20W. So engine feels more "tighter". A tighter engine will give poorer FC. Bro, I suggest you complain to UMW on 5k service.
