Congrats to all who got their car liao.

I dun think is a good idea to bring the car to cameron after being here for two day.

tapah to ringlet road is quite bad surface.

Road into boh plantation even more teruk

Parking cramp. Next car.open door will hit ur side

But the winding roads kinda nice to drive provided passengers dun get carsick.

Also, anyone has demanded the SA to get the car polished and waxed prior delivery? The paint surface of Prius C seems rough.

In case anyone not aware, hybrid car owner (i.e. Prius C) who bought their car from Toyota dealer in Petaling Jaya, they could actually apply 3-month free parking monthly pass from MBPJ via http://www.mbpj.gov.my/c/document_library/...f&groupId=21857
*
I tot parking is free in PJ? But that day I still kena summon. Have to apply for special pass for that?

Please see Post#725

Side by side with Super White or other plain solid white coloured cars, Toyota Lime White Pearl colour is more beautiful and has some character. If you are close to the car and at an angle to catch the sun reflection, you will see tiny glistening specks of lime green, pink, yellow, etc.

If you choose Metallic Blue this would give the car a different "air".

Beck_ken RM68 was for 2nd 5000km service oil change. You had this posted on Page 1.

PriusC engine oil capacity according to the manual is
3.4 Liter without filter change
3.7 Liter if change oil filter too.

UMW charges RM1.88 per 0.1Liter of Toyota mineral oil.

wow salamander envy u bro. Finally u got ur car d.. ^^. Now patiently waiting for my blue metalic. TT
Thank you
The problem is that Monday night I couldn't sleep at all, and I drank a ton of coffee and did not sleep at all. Got the car around 4pm, drove around like a nut, then around midnight go around some more. Then this morning I drove around from 6-10am. I have to wash all the dust that got on my car because it also rained and some roads were dusty.

QUOTE(gfwong @ May 29 2012, 11:34 PM)
I received the sms last evening. I booked mine early Apr but just received confirmation sms yesterday. I called up my SA this morning and was told that UMW knows that Prius C is overbooked. In order not to let us feel "unattended" (which might lead to cancellation), UMW sent this sms to "drag" us longer. However, my SA speculates that UMW might consider to give other freebies so that we stay on the line. Llast time, the big Prius had the same thing too. Dunno if my SA tipu me or not...
*
That seems quite plausible (about the dragging thing) because I don't think they would have followed up unless we asked. Only until we bother them they might feed you a bit of info to keep us patient for a little bit longer. I think with this demand they're going to have to add some extra flowery stuff to the mix to keep the customers happy.

I don't get it, how come our Prius C got the same rusty crap? Mine was on two areas, the exhaust part and that other bit shown in the pics. It seems to only be rusty on the lower part.

To be fairly honest, I got my car in a lil bit of a fricken dirty state (at least not what I'd expect from a new car).

QUOTE(mkhor7 @ May 30 2012, 01:52 AM)
thumbup.gif  Congratulations that the exciting PriusC is yours now!  rclxms.gif

The thingy under my front passenger seat is the jack to change tyre.  My small towing eyelet is in the toolbag kept in the boot.
There is just a small space under the driver's seat to squeeze in a compact sub-woofer.
My driver seat back has no pocket, only the passenger seat back has the pocket.

Can your doors autolock?
*
Yeah they just left the towing eyelet on the front passenger carpet, no idea why. I think the passenger seat on mine only has the backpocket too. In the cargo where the spare tyre is kept there is no big foam bits like in the US version (I guess cos their spare tyre is small).
And for the most important thing I have been wondering lately, I got no damn autolock sad.gif cry.gif

QUOTE(chrymnd @ May 30 2012, 09:27 AM)
Yup . I'm booked mine around may. You booked on march and get on may will be reasonable as i think. Because i'm went to the opening ceremony and get all the details and unable to confirm to my salesman because of budget control with some comment like (go for cRZ, insight, prius ). After that, i'm had decided to booked the prius c at last minute which i'm told you on may. So that will be my fault that cause in long waiting period.  sad.gif  sad.gif  sad.gif . im chosen white colour. 082. ( Popular)
But from the first shipment already require 3 months waiting list as i knew. so your one will be reasonable.

May i know how is the fuel efficiency ? can achieve the european cycle like 25.6km/l around KK?
*
Here are some pictures of what I've done so far since I got the car yesterday, it seems like 1 bar on the fuel gauge seemed to be around 100km thereabouts or at least it felt like it (you can easily get 25.6km/L around KK) Max speed for my pulses was around 75kph (or at least I tried not to go above that):

I drove towards Sepangar, Papar, KKIA, Lintas, Likas, Coastal highway, I passed 1Borneo, drove towards Tambunan, around Donggongon/Penampang, Luyang. I couldn't stop driving it sweat.gif
Also some bastards on the road always kept riding up my butt or trying to hit my car cos they weren't looking. Many also from parking or just trying to cut into me. I'm not sure but this never happened to me in any other cars I drove, just this one. Some damn old lady in Foh Sang just kept reversing towards my car and I *swear* she was looking at my car as she backed her car towards mine. I wanted to beep my horn but then I was reminded of road runner and how deaf aunties are to those so I managed to just slip past her cos there was a car in front of me and I couldn't move much. I also think it's the same bad aunty driver I've encountered before in that place.
All in all I am very satisfied with this car and what I have gotten out of it so far. I am going to see if I can bring it to Kundasang. I chickened out further down the road to Tambunan because the road got really dirty hehe so I turned back. I'm surprised it didn't really take much effort to get the mileage I did. I didn't pay attention most of the time but I think the highest I saw at one point was 30.2km/L
I should also mention my tires are 42front 40 back (actually maybe 39 or 40).
The chairs are really comfy (for me anyway). Seriously, I drove for a few hours and still felt ok, I just miss a proper armrest for my left arm.
I noticed that whatever I put in my glovebox got cold, it's almost like a fridge effect in there lol, I think that's because the air filter for the aircon is also right behind it.
One thing I should also mention is at the beginning when I accelerate in EV mode I could get it until maybe around 58-60'ish kph depending on the road. In the beginning it felt like there was more feedback in the pedal however over time it felt like I wasn't getting much power from EV like I was when I first used the car. I'm not sure if it's because I was getting used to it or what but it doesn't feel as responsive in acceleration as when I first drove it. Maybe my imagination. That's all for now, I need a nap shocking.gif

My case is the opposite as yours. My order was a silver C but without a DVD, but when the car arrived they said the car came with DVD set one. I was so angry cuz the SA was asking me " So how? Do you wanna take the DVD and top up rm3000 or you wanna wait for another month or so?" I was angry because first of all it was not my fault that messed up the order. My order clearly stated there without DVD unit so now the car comes with DVD and instead of finding solution they are throwing the problem to me. I did not want to wait any longer cuz initially my car arrived early April and the stupid SA gave it away to other customer. Hence i got to wait for another month until early May. So i was so angry that i complaint to the manager personally and finally god knows where they find another silver C without DVD for me. On top of that the manager gave me rm200 shopping voucher. But few days after driving the car only i realise there is a defect to the seat back cushion. IT WAS DENTED! they so clever when i collect my car that time they use a cover to cover it as if its to protect from stain/dirt prior to deliver to customer. Now send in report adi to claim and waiting news from the service centre which is another headic for me cuz its been over a week and they never bother to follow up! Tomorrow gonna call and marah kao kao! vmad.gif

My case the Salesman was hopeless.... So i rang up the Branch Manager but he seem not to help as well when they forced me to take the registered car without the DVD AVN. That was when I lost my patience and call direct to the UMW Toyota HQ and dealt with them. Subsequently, even for the appointment date to collect my car from the Toyota branch was also prearranged directly from the UMW Toyota KL... LOL.. i feel like a super VIP tongue.gif

Wow.. but seem alot of Prius C have problem with quality and rusted material. Think maybe the factory is going under super OT which reduce their quality. As pillowpaws711 say we must complaint to Toyota directly.

Wonder if you can give us whom you contact so we can know who to find if we find the quality issue ^^

Hmmm... I dunno should I disclose the HQ Personnel number here.... later i kena blacklist by the HQ.... Haha... but they do have a Sales Complaint Department ... the Customer Service will apparently record our complaint over the phone and if necessary will bring forward the complaint case to the Department for action plan.

I got a RM1,550 discount from Salesman. Polished and waxed my car pre-delivery. Free floor mats. Full tank petrol ( we went to the petrol kiosk together, and he literally pumped till the petrol overflowed a little... LOL). The 10k and 20k free service is All In... inclusive of the motor oil. But the 1st 2 service ( 1k & 5k ) is normal la like the rest, only waive the workmanship fee.

Shah Alam -> Rawang: Use pulse and glide in early morning cos less traffic
Rawang -> Tapah : Fark the savings, i tekan aje and travel 130-140 powaaaaa
Tapah to Ringlet: Road bumpy, slowly drive and winding. Handling ok, wont feel rolling.
Overtake lorry no problem at all. Average speed was around 35 kmh i think. Mileage quite bad cos uphill.
Ringlet to Brinchang : Powaaaa on straight stretches. Haha.

Within cameron i dint drive much cos no parking at all. took van around brows.gif

Balik time was superb. from Brinchang to Tapah toll, the trip about 60km, i got around 71.X km/L. took it easy coming down.

Bro, first time service. And it took me for 2 hrs 30 mins. Nearly camp there. Summore rain heavily today in PJ cannot even walk to coffee shop for proper breakfast.

Btw, I do check wit service centre in regards to warranty issue. My case I had change a sport rim. Thus, only the rim's warranty will be void. I also ask them about other electric component warranty, they said any changes will only void the particular part except u tampered the original wiring of the car. So, he said plug and play system is alright. That's the reply from a service representative mr sharae from umw pj jalan 19.
