As far as I know, the latest hire purchase act mention all deposit or booking fees must be refund to customer upon cancellation. As before some car dealer may forfeit these money, but now no allow anymore.

A lot of us also hate these SA, till one point we intend to cancel our order & switch to other non hybrid cars.

Thanks for the information!

Not sure if another SA will be interested to sell if you have cancelled the booking. My friend wanted to cancel his booking and change to another SA but was told that the first SA will still get the commission cause once he makes a booking, his name will be in the system even after he cancels the booking.

Ahh, didn't know that, thanks for letting me know smile.gif

Also a general thanks to everyone on this thread for being so nice & helpful

Which one is better VCool or 3M? In term of pricing:

VCool ~ RM 2600
3M ~ RM 1800 for crystalline

I dont wanna pay xtra if 3M is at par with Vcool.

If compared with Toyota Standard Solar Film is RM 1,400.00, even though my SA offer me to pay only RM 800 for it. I dont know is it better than any tint (same price) out there? hmm.gif

What is the thickness for security film u looking at for Vkool and 3M ? As i heard got some if too thick your smart tag can't go through.

Do check with them whether you can get signal for smart tag and also your hp ? As heard some brand with some high thickness even block your mobile network connection.

Care less on the thickness but the main important, it should have a good protection against heat. No used drive hybrid car but fuel consumption gonna bit high due to aircond usage. sad.gif My daily travel is 80km (home-office-home) including traffic jam about 2-2.5 hr in the car.

True also. But for our aircon if not mistaken its being run by electric. So if you press auto it will save more. And i think you be driving in morning and late evening right so not much heat also.

If want save cost. Maybe can try the one mkhor7 said. RM1300 and 70% heat rejection.

Its oem private label film from USA house brand as MGard Ipoh, save about 40% from the big names. Just like Tesco/Giant house brand products - quality could be same, but maybe taste different....

Wow, I think my worst nightmare for commutes like that is getting a stomach ache along the way hehe shocking.gif

On another note, I think I've decided to use Gzox coating when I get my car since it's pretty much the only one available in my area. Seems like alot of black cars going there too hehe.

3M is on par with V-Kool I think but RM2600 is way too high for V-Kool. I paid RM1850 for my BMW.

In my personal experience having owned many tints V-Kool is the best, but Solar Gard is the best value, about 80% of V-Kool's performance at 40% of the price.

Cheapest financing i found is 2.43% p.a for 9 years. Shorter the more expensive. Hence i opt for 9 years as i think its better for me to dump more to my housing loan as BLR is way more expensive than car loan.
*
OT but need to clarify here, don't compare car loan and home loan just based on interest that you see because they're based on different calculations. 2.43% car loan is closer to 5% APR. Your BLR is probably around 4.x% APR so the home loan is almost always cheaper.

Hi tishaban, thanks for your info. Oh mine is not based on this calculation. My housing loan is calculated by i borrow loan of RM600k for a house and repay 30 years. So i repay around RM20k per year for interest and RM20k for principal annually. As by end of day. in Year 30 i pay a total of RM1,200,000.00 with current BLR> And i know first 5 years we pay more interest than principal so i took the total payment i need to pay and divided by years i need to pay.

So interest around 100% per annum for a house.

For Prius C i took this calculation.

I borrow RM90,000.00 loan as car is RM100,00.00 and stretch to 9 years. So monthly i pay around RM1,028.00 per month. And by end of 9 years i pay total of RM111,024.00. And if you take the interest amount is around RM21,024.00. The you divide the total interest of RM21,024.00 by 9 years and you get RM2,336.00 per annum and divide by 12 months i pay RM194.67 for interest monthly. Compare to amount i pay monthly of RM1,028 monthly the % of real interest i pay is around 18.9% of total monthly payment i pay compare to 100% i pay for my houses.

Of course we need to calculate NPV but i took the total repayment by end of the years and divided by no of years and also the total interest i need to pay throughout the tenure.

And of course if i pay off earlier i can save more interest in housing loan by doing a flexi home loan package which im doing it now. Hehe.

If you need my detail calculation. I dont mind sharing. Just pm me your email and i sent you file how i work it out.

And for this i assume inflation rate and time value of money is constant as we are both comparing loan for a long period. Of course if we do APV it seem housing cheaper but dont forget we pay longer for our house.

Maybe you pay lesser but I'm just a normal person striving for living so can't afford to pay housing loan at fastest rate. Just kidding. No harsh feeling ya. Just sharing out why my calculation different than other ppl.

If only i can borrow corporate loan like my boss it will be perfect which is KLLIBOR plus margin so around 3.4% p.a for short term revolving credit facility. But as they say the richer u are cost of debt is superb cheap. Hence rich get richer and middle ppl get poorer as days goes by.

Or maybe you can work out a package of housing loan cheaper than car loan and share with us. I would like to learn more as well. As my calculation may have flaw in it.
