Ok, I will try to take some photos and upload tomorrow.

Side mirrors, yes, I always make it a point to retract them, turn the engine off, and turn the side mirrors switch on it again so that when I turn on the engine the next time, the mirrors will move back and ready to be used.

Thanks for this, I'm kinda lazy to turn it back on when I get back in lol.

Malfree one just install the installer. Select the normal option then put the file into the SD card (need unlock the lock switch first) in the folder (where the UNL file located).

Running on Malfree latest version now. Search speed is a bit slow but working just fine.

Added on June 11, 2012, 3:08 pmI just install 3M Air Filter on my PC battery air intact to prevent duct build up.

Next stop is Original Emblem with LED light and All interior LED switch and entry light.

Added on June 11, 2012, 3:36 pmFC is around 25 km/L (Morning) to 30.5 km/L (night with 50% on EV)

PC have 36 liter fuel tank, mean around RM70 per fuel up. the trip computer show around 1050km for tank.

The Technic to drive is very simple, don't hold back when acceleration (keep within ECO zone), When road is flat and reach 70-80 KM/h, drop the throttle and press a bit to keep the speed with EV only.

When using EV mode for low speed zone (<40 km/h) and for highway, cruise control all the way at speed limit.

If the ECO score is 80 most of the time, you will get roughly 30km/L.
The key is constant speed.

Turn off ECO mode for speedy pick up.

Don't go to N or B.

There is a code to toggle autolock function. (will share later once I try the combination)

For backseat seatbelt, unlock it with your key and keep it away from blocking.

Ahh, I was just a little bit iffy with having to run an exe and let it do everything for me cos I like moving the files over manually. Thanks for the info, I might try it out. Btw, is there a particular one to download because from here there are a few different ones for different models. Which model do we need to download for ours?
Hm, will the 3m filter not impede the amount of airflow? I wonder what is Toyota's take on putting filters there, if there is no dangerous impact I would like to do the same. I hate dust.

What you've said above is basically how I normally operate the car and I get some pretty good mileage.

Let us know about the autolock toggle if it works biggrin.gif I'm dying to get it working.

Offtopic: Did you guys know that being in EV range and EV mode are quite different? I didn't know that until recently, in the sense of speed limits and I guess most obviously to stay in EV. I guess a more 'purer' EV functional mode. I've actually yet to put it into EV mode because I'm mostly using ECO mode. I will try soon hehe.

Well, I just got the air filter (have to cut myself) and going to try install it over the weekend.

I have take a look at the air duct and fan, is not filtered, and being in the passenger zone mean it will suck in dust and hair.
Which mean it will accumulate in the fan blade (cylinder blade) and stop the air flow. which is critical to batt optimal temp (degrade EV run time and overheat charging)

Not sure anyone did this before but I saw lot of those desktop tower with lot of hole one...the fan get dusty quick. Don't want that happen to my PC.

If you mean the EV mode that you need to manual enter, yes, all transmission will be power by Motor and impose speed limit (the motor gear can only spin that fast before pulling over current). Not good for sudden acceleration as the power draw will be unstable and might damage to battery unit.

Trivial corner smile.gif

HSD system doesn't have a Engine powered reverse gear. is ALL power by the motor 1 & 2 !! mean the engine will start to power the Motor 1 to power the motor 2 to reverse the car smile.gif

This is due to much simple gear design for the HSD gear.

I installed the Toyota OEM side mirrors auto retract kit for RM2XX. The side mirrors with auto-fold after I locked the car. With this, the side mirrors will serve as an indication when car is locked.

I am tired of this "i heard, you heard, he heard, she heard, my friend's said, my mom's said"

how can it affect the performance?
how heavy is that? a bit heavy won't affect the FC. Your laptop bag that you carry everyday is much more heavier than this my friend.

my back boot fully loaded with tool box (with all kind of spannars, screw drivers etc etc) and a box of water (to clean of the bird shit or stained)....so that is more heavier than car mat but still can run 750km+/- per RM65

If the side airbags are deployed from the side of the seats then it is confirmed that improper seat cover will affect the airbags deployment just like the warning for Prevé.

No definite answer but if you choose to ask Toyota, they might say 'yes'.

It depend on the color and how early you book. I know some people who book it just right after Xmas and they are the first one to get their car.

Black and white color seem to be easier to get too. Aqua Blue is the best selling color for Japan for this car so is hard to come by.

how much you bought for the 3M Air Filter ? and where you got it?

--------------
void warranty if you touch anything that change the engine structure.

last time during my Vios time, I put on bars (4 bars), high flow filter then changed open pod, alarm, ICE, M7 Engine Management Controller, voltage stabilizer....

even my sterling rack spoiled, they still change for me FOC during warranty period.

unless you pot and polish your engine...then it will void... it is all depends how friend you with the SA...

like many said, you change a bit they can said "yes, warranty void" but if the thing you installed aftermarket is not the root cause of the problem for that spoiled part, then everything is fine...

Just to warn you guys who still have not received your car - please get it in bright DAYLIGHT so that you can see any marring/scratches/holograms/etc on the paintwork, otherwise you may be going home to find out the hard way and you may or may not be able to lodge a official complaint. I hear many SA tend to do this especially with darker colored cars but really they will do that to any color so beware! I got mine at 4pm and couldn't really see anything, plus they had it inside a garage (probably on purpose so I didn't see it - thanks alot UMW!). I'm going to b**** and whine at them when I bring my car in.

Most definitely, that would be good for keeping record of proof. Make sure you get the angle right too because sometimes the camera will go cacat trying to focus on it lol. I will try post pics of mine that I took a while back, gotta find it. I don't know if I can do anything about this but I'm still willing to fight tooth & nail, I don't trust anyone to wash/polish/wax my car either so they'll have to find another way to compensate.

Update: Here are some pics taken a while back - I didn't really get a chance to take all of them because I was in a hurry and the camera didn't want to focus on it. The pics here only show the extent of *1* of the 4-5 marks I have on my hood and each are pretty big. They must've sent to some place who doesn't know how to wash/wax properly or who does it for them cheaply. No idea. Whatever their reasoning it is unacceptable and it is also going into the extra comments section on my survey.

A repaint would be nice but I bet they won't hehe. I agree though, they probably use a crappy third party to do all the stuff like wash/polish/etc. Even my windows have stupid stains but I'm not sure if that was from the tinting guys. They cut into one rubber part of the left back window, and one rubber part on the driver window is not stuck on properly. Damn lauya job whoever did all that and inspected too. Right now I am also making an archive of all the nicks/scratches/chips just in case I send it somewhere and they add new ones.

I had been hearing rattling sounds around the dashboard area for about a month. Today, after I tapped-tapped here and knocked-knocked there, the sounds seemed to disappear. I did this infront of my 2 colleagues and they confirmed that the sounds had gone. Looks like we are having "pasar-malam" grade PC.
