If I'm not wrong, they will need to install a "pizza box" at your area for fibre optic lines to enjoy Streamyx. TMNet will only install a "pizza box" if your area has high demand for it.

Correct me if I'm wrong. smile.gif

You are right.

My area has fiber too and it took them a long time to install the pizzabox in my area before I could get Streamyx.

But talking about fiber, I don't think any area which uses fiber are actually fiber all the way. What I mean is it's usually fiber and copper connected together some point along the way. That's why all these problems and the need for pizzabox etc.

Another thing I noticed about fiber and copper mix is that when I was using my dial-up connection before this, my 56Kbps modem could only connect at about 28kbps. It doesn't allow 56kbps connections in this kind of fiber setup.
