today came back from south to kl, saw one lagon blue at the fast lane with light one. I miss the front view, only when it pass me only manage to see the rear. The rear light looks small and ordinary. It would be better it could do like audi or volvo square strip rear light. But the car looks more continental at rear. It looks better than rear forte, from my personal view. Forte is nice but bit simple, but this preve looks simple but classy.
I dun know how to say, but I c proton car is getting expensive. If the car below 65k should be good. If not mistaken a preimium waja 1.6 also about 60k plus. You can't compare tech to tech coz the time is diff.
Seriously I won't go for cfe even the specs is gd. But how reliable the car still got doubt. 3 years down to road is good but if after 3 or 4 years still got questions. We don't want things minor minor happen after few years, especially like mouse sound, interior etc. But 63k for iafm+ cvt is a good buy. But again how underpower it is or is just sufficient for this car.
Maybe I give a test drive would change my mind.

Some times very hard to judge during the test drive. First there are over hundred ppl already test drive the car, and worst they are not test drive but trying to spoil the car. Come on u dun drive such way if the car belongs to u. Any way u drive violent also will break lar. U can drive a sedan like driving a 4wd or driving like a sport car.
My only concern is the quality itself. For example when a thing is manufactured there will some tolerance or buffer before it breaks down. That why some design are made to compensate any possible damage could happen. Of course the cost of manufacturing will cost more. So there come the cost down factor.
I not saying this car is bad. Just want to understand how well the car is make. A simple continental car or a simple vios, after driving more than 5 years it still going well. But if a simple proton car maybe after 3 years driving many problem appeared. Sometime i dun think is the qc prob, it could be the design and costing side. So conclusion is how is the preve team would be preform. This is very interesting. Specs wise no problem, now will be coming to reliability.
But still very poision to buy.
Lastly design is very subjective, I think those ppl like continental car will like preve. But for those looking for jap or korean modern design, they may complain it. Personally I like it coz the design is simple and classy.

No lar, my point is not bashing p1. Is juz difficult to judge the car coz ppl keep banging the car when test drive. Of course is hard to judge the car itself during test drive.
Time will show the true of the car.

Hope P1 did learn to make a reliable car. I think most ppl concern is the reliability, wear tear is normal. But things like funny noise sound, loose dashboard, things broken etc...... No prob is I do my service accordingly, change things wear and tear. But I hope the car still in tip top condition after 4 years or plus. Owning a car here is not cheap, moreover a car is like a must. Family could at least 1 or 2 cars. I blame gov for imposing high sale tax for car. I not sure local car did subject to sales tax or not. If can, govt should not tax the local car. If u earn more u afford more, but majority still earn cukup makan. So I also hope to have a cukup bagus car to drive.

Finally manage to see and touch the physical of the car. Saw one at setia alam tesco, which executive white.
I was high hope on this car but sadly it turned out the other way around. Comparing to waja interior, I felt waja is much better in term of the material choice and fitting. The preve is just bit plastic to me, and the door panel also feel it. The speedo meter surprisingly is small, waja much better looking. The idea design is good is just the things arrange is not well balance and sleek enough. For the executive, the setting is just too toyish feeling. The stering is small but doesn't have the waja feel more confirm and steady.
Engine bay doesn't looks neat enough if compare again with waja. The bay seems a bit large, maybe some space for turbo parts.
Lastly come to the my worst part of the car, is the rear seat. I thought it could be a flat rear seat, but there is the wheel base which make the seat not flat. If seating for 3 person, the both left right person which need to seat inside cause can't lay down the back bcoz the wheel base, the 3rd person will be cramp. The car is long enough for comfortable interior seating. Maybe they sacrifice for the front site. The seat also a bit low.
If compare to persona, yes it is better. But for waja, I think the waja interior is much better.
Only thing is the car exterior design itself. I am looking more on to the engine and the car design. Those extra feature is nothing special it had been in the market, all u need is juz include it. As for engine, it will depends on prt itself and also the car design.
A preve body with waja interior feel would be great.
