At the spot welding, there is a bit of a gap. On heavy rain water might sip into it when open the door.
Do you have any temporary solution to seal the gap. Glue/silikon. A DIY solution. |

QUOTE(mat79 @ Apr 23 2012, 12:42 PM) about the gap, afaik, the production will have the filler wire/metal to coverup the gap. But better check it when receive the car. It shud be there. About water sipping, it wont rust cost all metal is galvanised metal n there are lots of holes around any car. If not,all will be rusted easily, but still insist checked whether the filler wire is there or not. Thanks a lot mat79 |

QUOTE(Az prevay @ Apr 26 2012, 10:50 PM) review more likely base as a family sedan car.handling not much different from cfe. minus the leather steering and traction control. Today driving not aggresive. all below 100kmh "sayang kete maaa". Mainly drive in D mode. Try the S mode but not much different. RPM increase around 600. but still can only feel accelerate when RPM hit 3500. Overall satisfied with the car. The engine is enough for a family sedan. |

QUOTE(spikey2506 @ Apr 26 2012, 11:10 PM) Do you really feel the difference of power between CFE and IAFM? No IAFM test drive units, so cannot really compare.. This is my new car so i do not drive like a test car CFE. difference of power is definately there. but to actually feel it. is something else. coz the acceleration is smooth. i cannot really feel it in CFE test drive car. for my iafm i do not test that aspect yet (no hard acceleration)My main concern is only is it power enough to overtake in back road. jalan balik kampung. and full occupant 4 pessenger. Curently i believe it can. will test it out when i balik kampung next tuesday. I think need to understand cvt characteristic then can eazily overtake etc. This post has been edited by my1508: Apr 26 2012, 11:20 PM |

QUOTE(taipan22 @ Apr 27 2012, 03:31 PM) Hopefully Proton can address this issues as well .. I've got my iafm+ cvt yesterday. There is a hiss sound at the front. sound near the front dashboard. it is not the aircond. coz i off the air-cond. also not the engine coz engine sound is different. It is a faint sound when i reach 100kmh. Have any suggestion about the noise and how to reduce it. "The cabin is spacious. Tall 1.8m adult can comfortable sit at the back with more than enough legroom. However, MMN thinks that Proton could do better with the sound insulation. Throughout the ride, there is a constant "dengung" from the car. It is not the tyre noise, and it is not the wind noise. I think it is the sound of the CVT. I might be wrong here, but there is this one particular sound among the quietness of the cabin.'' review from Malaysia Motoring News ... http://www.malaysia-motoring-news.com/2012...lobal.html#more When take the car i talk with SA and on music so could not detect then. |
