ahucs, if the steering senget, but the wheel is ok, meaning even senget, the car dont go to the right or left during straight line driving,then is not bad allignment, just the steering need to adjust. Just send it back immediately after doing it.

But if u send to prtn sc when the chamber is already with adjustment nuts, then need to change to original nut coz already mentioned, when adjusting chamber, u already changing the factory default setting. Even allignment is correct, but sometimes its not precise coz u already alter the chamber setting.

Thats why, there are some says, 1st year, r n h ok, after that, not nice n not the same. If u still within factory setting, the allignment, the chamber(no adjustment), stock rims, it will not iff much unless the shock is already worn. But if change, even the rims, need to be careful, if can, stick with manufacturer size n width. If can, use stock rims. If want better handling n comfort, easiest way is to opt for better set of tyres. For performance, re 002, ps3, fi directional@ultimate f1 assy 2, is a better option. For comfort, premacy lc, cc5, conti premium n etc also a good oftion.

The stock tyes are uhp tyres for that particular co, so, shud be good replace it with same category of tyres. Xm 2 is good, but diff category, better opt ps3 then.

But dont worry, if steering senget, its a short fix, unless the car tend to go to the right @ left side on straight stretch, then, need to realign back. Jsut send it back, no need to pay again. Make sure its prtn sc, not authorised dealer prtn sc(3rd party).

Added on April 22, 2012, 1:12 pmone more thing, make sure u check everything(the car) n the sa explain on bcm, test driving it,if satisfied, then signing. If not, dont, ask for replacement or fixing if major, minor, remarks on the form. Major means need to send back to hq or factory to rectify, minor, nearest prtn sc can fix it.
Prtn is commited to be better, so, do a favour, if product dont satusfy u, dont take it, so that easier for them to take action to those involve, whether vendors or even their own assembly workers. Dont worry, its ur right.

Bro, u can always keep your stock rim n tyres. If shit happens, just change back to stock n drive happily to SC

I am a myvi driver and not bashing preve'......

today came back from south to kl, saw one lagon blue at the fast lane with light one. I miss the front view, only when it pass me only manage to see the rear. The rear light looks small and ordinary. It would be better it could do like audi or volvo square strip rear light. But the car looks more continental at rear. It looks better than rear forte, from my personal view. Forte is nice but bit simple, but this preve looks simple but classy.
I dun know how to say, but I c proton car is getting expensive. If the car below 65k should be good. If not mistaken a preimium waja 1.6 also about 60k plus. You can't compare tech to tech coz the time is diff.
Seriously I won't go for cfe even the specs is gd. But how reliable the car still got doubt. 3 years down to road is good but if after 3 or 4 years still got questions. We don't want things minor minor happen after few years, especially like mouse sound, interior etc. But 63k for iafm+ cvt is a good buy. But again how underpower it is or is just sufficient for this car.
Maybe I give a test drive would change my mind.

i like to comparing Preve' with Chevrolet Cruze, Hyundai Elantra, Kia Forte because their latest tech and for Chevy Cruze for their platform and well known NVH. For the price RM 72, 990 with a lot of goodies, spec wise i think only Kia Forte is match making with Proton Preve. What shame is Japanese car outside offering lower space at very higher price (RM 110, 000 - RM 135, 000 region) so i'll not consider any one of Japanese make except a CKD rebadge Mitsubishi Lancer, Proton Inspira. Plus i only afford car below RM 100, 000.

so take other C segmen as real competitor, design wise let put aside bcoz everyone taste not same. so what i like about Proton Preve is

1-multilink suspension system instead many of C segment competitor incl Cruze which only offer Torsion Beam suspension. Kita punya jalan banyak teruk ma

2-auto rain/ light sensor

3-LED position lamp (a bit feel fuhhh kecewa its not DRL)

4-push start button (korean car yes. japanese car only few brand)

5-Protonic 7 speed shiftronic CVT gearbox pair with 7 speed paddle shifter. this is most part i like

6-a little soft touch dashboard on preve. its look and feel conti sometime. cruze, overpriced elantra, forte, inspira/ lancer, sylphy i touch all hard plastic. but i agree that Forte did do a good job. their plastic feel premium but personal view, i like design Cruze more follow by Preve' compare to other C segment i mention above. and including Mazda 3 also. Chevy Cruze very stylish their dasboard but sayang its hard plastic. So my choice is Proton Preve which lot a bit continental car. clean and simple. i like it. nevermind if you dont like it but deep in my heart i very like the design especially the material they use. for hard plastic material in preve i think, need a bit improvement. but again nevermind. the most dashboard design i dont like is Inspira/ Lancer. Sorry if my taste not same with yours.

8- also 4 airbag. in C segment (malaysian market) only Kia Forte offer you 6 airbag. Mazda 3, Ford Focus i tak pasti. premium C segment cant compare la

9-wifi 4g. i thk only Preve' in Malaysia can offer 4G wifi access to internet surf in car

and not to forget a new 1.6 CFE engine. ya its lag but nevermind bcoz dia hanya akan tunjuk taring lepas 2000 rpm. also very fun la i play2 with paddle shifter in S mode at highway. test drive berfore. banyak syok la.

so find yourself others C segment in Malaysia can offer very rich gadget at very very affordable price. Kia Forte yes a lot of goodies plus 6 airbag and leather seat lagi, but then how about suspension system, ride and handling. They only use torsion beam instead of multilink suspension.

Test drive and believe it. compare also ride and handling with others ya.

i'm not dsz. just advice only, u can change to 17@18 inch as long as its within the rules of thumb not more than 3%. Inspira in 18 look good, but did compromised the comfort coz the profile already 40,  which means really low. I think 17 inch is the best bet if u insist. But expect sacrificing a bit on comfort n please use new tyres, not 2nd hand one. Safety first.

Korean got their own plus points, very aggressive styling, very modern, which is very good to some people, they like new stuff

Japanese play it safe, which is good as well, sticking to what they do best, reliability.

Conti is always conti, plain ol simple and boring but like Japanese, sticking to what they do best, as long as it works.

Proton, no plus points, always copy, push start button also copy. Outlook also copy Siti. Forever copy

no white arrive at my SA showroom.. 1st car to arrive.. blue white tarak.. its so weird the way he say how they get their car allocation. its like whatever they get, they give customer. its not like they say order this color means will deliver to the showroom this color. duno true or not. sounds like playing russian roulette like that....

got white unit @ my SA, called asking if i want it instead of blue lagoon..

only will opt for silver. had enough of solid white d.. will turn yellowish after a year or so...
