I went to have a sit in the Preve, I was disappointed that the plastic cover at the door handle was flimsy and hollow. The surface just alone the window pane, you can hold or press it and see it sink in. This is so unlike the Persona nor the Saga that actually felt solid. That aside, the overall cabin space was comfortable. Still far from what the Inspira provides. Overall seems worthy of the price tag.

QUOTE(ma43q @ Apr 27 2012, 04:58 PM) agreed. the rear seats were comfortable. but the noise was very annoying and due to the noise, the cabin materials vibrated too during my test drive due to the noise. The noise would get louder when revved and decreased when the gear shifted to a higher speed and it repeated itself. it was very significant earlier I posted about the poor quality panel along the door handle in the interior, passenger area. did that one made any noise during your test?

the door plastic there is hollow. Just press the area near the window base, press downwards. See how it moves. This "hollow" issue is not found on Saga and Persona, furthermore the one I noted that was on the highest spec variant.

Normally I don't even touch that area of the car, I so happen to have touched it. Then I went to press the ones at Persona and Saga, they felt solid. Even if the inside is hollow (I'm not expecting a whole block of it laaaa) but it should at least have the decent solid feel like the rest.

QUOTE(Junn @ Apr 27 2012, 05:22 PM) U mean the whole thing sink in?
I tested it with window down, yea it does move but when windows is up, the movement is minimize QUOTE(viperz982 @ Apr 27 2012, 05:22 PM) You touched at soft plastic area maybe? donno how to express. basically the surface area near the window base. it doesn't sink but rather it just feels shoddy.

out of the whole list of 1st batch owners, only 1x IAFM, that also donno AT or MT.
what aroused my curiousity is - how come no one consider the RM 60k MT Executive (IAFM)? you get the same chassis, cabin space and boot space, just different engine and minus the safety features and other blings but at RM 13k less.

QUOTE(dares @ Apr 29 2012, 03:57 PM) No offense to owners of the IAFM variant, we buy what we can afford. No point to compare. compare also good mah. after all with price RM 13k difference. looking at the choices, I think the AT Executive has least value for $$$. Still IAFM, everything looks like MT version cept that it's AT. top up a bit more can get full spec. MT Exec for RM 60 looks nice .......... until you bring a Persona into the equation. Even cheaper, still got decent cabin space and boot space. Still 1.6 but at ~RM 14k less!

QUOTE(dares @ Apr 29 2012, 04:20 PM) IAFM is still a good buy. But if you can afford it you should go for the CFE variant because you cant put a price on safety.
A lot of people just look at that 13k difference and do not notice that what the premium variant offer is more than superficial features.
Like I said, you buy what you can afford. IAFM or CFE, as long as your decision is an informed one, you will not regret it. Yes, I also find the CFE version looks good. I just realize the IAFM AT isn't priced in between the CFE and IAFM MT. I'm still disappointed at the door panel. Persona and Saga had better door panel!

The panel near the door handle (interior) - it felt shoddy. I didn't even had to hunt for it, it's not an area I often touch or even look at but I so happen to pressed on it the other day during exit or entry, can't remember. I was like WTH!?!? refer to image above, the one right behind the left passenger seat. At the base of the window. It's not uncommon for the material to be hollow but this one felt shoddy. Tested the Persona and Saga in the same showroom, no such feel. Press also it doesn't go downwards. It's not important but I find the quality should be better. Oh and I really dislike the texture of the material they used for the dashboard and other areas, I found out the same texture is on Exora Bold too.
