Here is it Power and Torque graph for the latest Proton Preve 1.6CFE turbo engine courtesy of Proton Edar from Seri Kembangan (012-3338621).
It is more power and torque than what Proton claims.

Full power is not available at lower gears resulting in massive turbo lag. We suspect this is done to prolong the life of the CVT transmission. Stock fuel tuning is very lean thru out the whole operating range at 14.7:1 AFR and causes engine knock before and after turbo boost kicks in. At this air fuel ratio, especially at high RPM and high load, the engine will run very hot.

For reference, a fully stock Proton Satria Neo 1.6 makes 112hp on our dyno, not far from what is claimed. So this high figures are real and not as a result of our dyno reading high.
The other good news is that this car now supports OBD2 universal protocol which means you can connect a cheap bluetooth OBD2 adapter and run app such as TORQUE on your android phone to read ecu data such as RPM, boost, temperature, ignition timing etc.

nope, its standard to run lean on manufacturer default for safety. This is will change accordingly during the vvt changes n turbo spooling.

Even any standard will run on lean for reliability. As manufacturer, need to take into account on balancing everything.

Erm, standard 1.6 neo 112hp, on crank, yup, there always be 110hp+- on crank/engine. But still using fixed ratio on cvt simulation can result diff result. Better wait for mt tranny, then can get accurate one.

But the thing thats if been informed, ecu n tcu will limit the torque automatically so that not exceeding the limit. And the hp n torque on engine as specify by prtn is on engine, where it is diff from dyno what we seen, it just a set of engine in engine test room. Even there are tolerence +-, thats why its limit at 205, even if some unit can make more torque, but still in safe parameter which vt3 is able to take 220nm.

So, diff method for dyno, produce diff result. Even the mt will have same power n torque figure, it just more flexible coz u r in control of everything.

Please, no matter how good we are, there are diff between pwr n drive terrain engineer(those who develop from ground up to finish product) and those who are just fiddling the the finish product. So, shud respect both, especially those who develop the product. Everything is calculated precisely.

I just now check already. Need reload card to reload. Current amount is rm58.55....i just use for speedtest.net and press the start button to check the speed.... i think credit eat very fast

If you have time, could you mind try temporary switch OFF the ESC and see if the car still sluggish from still mode?
Just wonder if that make any different?

I booked on 19-April, without any chasing, my SA called this evening and said everything was ready (loan, documents etc...), now just wait for the car to arrive, probably next week! (but I doubt it could be so fast?!  )

By the way, anyone mind to tell me what is DSZ actually? Always confused when reading this~

regarding that YES 4G,it seems to be it is under Prepaid plan..so the charge is 9sen per 3MB of data (upload and download) or per 1 minute call or per 1 sms... refer to http://www.yes.my/v3/personal/plans/prepaid/yes-plan.do

if u want to use call n sms,u need to download YES LIFE...can found on the website...

YES 4G is quite fast...so u will feel that the credit also run very fast...recommended as 2nd internet connection...if u dload such a big files or u r a heavy user,then for sure rm60 is just too little for u...after u finish up rm60/month,u cannot surf..u just can browse to their reload page...auto reload is a new function...u can use credit card to auto reload..it's auto debit anyway...if RM60 in under rebates,u can only use it until finish.and perhaps the balance can be bring forward.perhaps only ya since i'm not familiar with this pkg for Preve. if it's under acc balance,then u can topup another rm10 then u can purchase their Valuepack plan (rm68)..that VP 68 comes with 3.5GB of data+150 free sms+150min free call....so take note of ur usage...if u use higher than RM30,then consider to topup another RM10...
p/s: so it's under Acc Balance....u can topup another RM10 and purchase Valuepack for more saving...after 12months,u need to maintain ur usage at least RM30/month (1GB of data size)...or just use it for calls or sms...or all....haha...or u can convert to postpaid plans...

i dunno is it true or not he says need time around 4 hrs to 6 hrs. how many people doing also dunno why need that long time for new car. if i have old car got lots scratches and swirl then maybe need la but this new car also need that long period of time..hmmm dunno true or not must stand there or sit there 6 hours see them what they do.

if u use more than rm60 per month and u still want to use the service,u need to topup la...if less than rm60,then no need...got it?if u use less,then the balance will carry forward to next month...

took delivery of the car yesterday.. was so buzy training the family on whats what n how to drive etc features bla2.. glad to see my father really satisfied with the car cz he never actually drove or saw the car..he totally trusted in me for choosing the car.. unlike during the test drive i drove it like a saint and i really like the car..its effortless and ones u have overcome the lag its very rewarding..just stick it in D and enjoy the car for what it is.. u never feel compelled drive like a ruckus because its just so relaxing and effortless.. So S mode not really in use..for the moment that is  .. the wind noise i pointed out the other day was actually like mat79 said the cvt whining  ..

no point TT without car.. u jst get a bunch of guys grumbling abt SA slowpoke and talking about speculative things... so not fun...

by hook or crook...u must bring Preve....this is applicable for the 3 of u....haha...

Today my SA told me, Fire Red color on hold for 1 Malaysia due to the paint problem.
