I saw an HD681 being sold at my local mall, at KK (wawasan plaza), at RM78. Was thinking if buying it but then the money in my wallet was just enough for it and the parking ticket. So I didn't. Got a few other models, plus a Samson one as well. Their packaging looks a bit aged too so they have been there for a while. I guess even those cheap China models aren't popular here, eventhough they supposedly sounds good. Oooh, and on a side note, I saw a few JVC (HDJ-1000 and some others) headphones as well. Yes I am back. Maybe in a while I'll get as much Superlux as I can and listen to them to see what all the fuss is about. Probably then sell them cheap once I'm done. Oh hey, the HD681 seems to be heavy when I lifted the package at the store. Is it that heavy? This post has been edited by tunertoobe: Sep 4 2012, 05:43 PM

QUOTE(trio @ Sep 4 2012, 06:57 PM) 681 quite light. Infact I think it is the lightest for full sized headphone in superlux Really? Well then, must be the packaging, or something. Or I'm just out of touch with how much these things are supposed to weigh. The Grado I have is pretty light.

I wonder if it'll work on a Grado headband.

I'm thinking of removing the faux leather headband cover to reveal the steel band inside. Then wrap the felt thingy around it. I'm just wondering whether it'll be as neat as that. This post has been edited by tunertoobe: Sep 6 2012, 07:54 PM

I think I might use the softer cloth-like felt then. Thanks!

They're getting the hang of it when styling their headphones. I think they look great! But those would probably look best in a studio or home environment though.
