QUOTE(dioakata @ Jul 17 2020, 01:41 PM) Hi guys. i own HD668B and my male 3.5mm jack already cabut d. Anybody have the knowledge on how to DIY it 3.5mm female port. I looked up online but there are no solid guide on how to do it. Thanks. Maybe this?I repaired a HD668B once and I gave it to a friend. This is the only guide for you to refer since I couldn't open one for you to see. The Left cup uses the headband as a wire to connect to the other side. I just opened both logo caps to make sure which polarity goes where. Good soldering pen is needed as the headband metal is kinda hard to solder on.

QUOTE(dioakata @ Jul 20 2020, 01:20 PM) I see thanks for the info. I will try have a look. never done any soldering in my life. one more question can i just use and female 3.5mm jack. example i have an aux cable laying around then i cut the female part and use it or i need a proper one like the spare parts the one with the 3 prongs (dunno if it called prong or not). Use whatever you can get. A lot of people actually use the female part of the minijack extender to replace their broken superlux. The 3 legged one I assume you mean panel mount type? It's a bit tight for your headphone so just skip that. Soldering is easy with proper pen and proper tin. Do not get "Lead-free" solder tin to start. Very difficult. You can get soldering pen even in Mr Diy if you want but the solder tin I'd prefer to get it in hardware or electronic store if possible. The junk that Mr Diy provides does not melt well and may destroy your equipment.
