Just got my 669 too. The earcups are not only clamping my head, but actually part of my upper jaw too.

The 669 is seriously uninspiring without an amp(my assumption though).
Very grainy, instrument/vocal separation is a big flat 2D mess when there is too much going on  On the plus side, it has good soundstage and is very resolving. Lots of air and details  Modding my pair of 669 is in order. I think the thin cheap plastic cups are not dampened. |

I'm starting to enjoy my 669 more. Instrumental soundtrack and live album works well.
EDM or mainstream stuff is downright horrible on these. |
