I think most of the superlux headphone need an amp to shine. My new bravo tube v2 slightly forward the vocal on my HD668B and tamed the treble harshness. But I still miss the bass punch of the solid state amp.

Got mine about two years ago. My HD668B still alive and kicking!

Now using it with bravo v2..... this tube amp had tamed down the harshness of the treble a lot. Though the bass impact was reduced slightly but the sweetness of the midrange really make me enjoy my music collection.

I think most of the superlux headphones especially full size one do need an amp to shine. From my experience if you want them to sing well please consider an amp in your setup.

Using a slightly warmer setup can bring a very nice balance to superlux cans. of their bright nature.

Agreed. Warmer setup is the best solution to a bright and detail signature of superlux cans. Can you suggest some of them?

I think this superlux HA3D headamp appeared on the market quiet some time ago. Headfonia has done a brief review on them. Click here

I'm still waiting for more decent amp from superlux.

Me also thinking of replace my HD668B stock earpad with the velourpad. But I'am afraid the velourpad will degrade the sound quality. Anyone have tried them? Care to share your experience here.
