TAIPEI, TAIWAN, June 4, 2012 – Global top3 motherboard manufacturer, ASRock Inc., is delighted to showcase its fresh technology kits at COMPUTEX 2012. From consumer motherboards that feature Intel's 22nm Ivy Bridge processors and Sandy Bridge-E platform, ultra-thin HTPC series that deliver irresistible value to enhance family bolds, IPC motherboards that bring the best solution to strength your business to a shiny debut of server and workstation motherboards, PC trend 2012 will be entirely covered here. To discover new tech details, all you need to do is to join ASRock at COMPUTEX 2012 in Nangang Hall, L1029A from June 5th through June 9th 2012.

Record-breaking OC Machine : Z77 OC Formula
user posted image
In addition to a wide range of premium motherboard solutions, a must-see product at ASRock COMPUTEX 2012 is Z77 OC Formula. This is an overclocking-oriented motherboard which was developed by the world's OC legacy performer, Nick Shih. The board opens up overclocking possibilities and gives you control opportunities in every way, featuring the most detailed and considerate design of any overclocking motherboard.

The soon-to-be-launched Z77 OC Formula provides serious compute power and shows off the true potential of a stock-clocked Z77 chipset. Nick Shih, ASRock's exclusive OC master, just submitted several record-breaking overclocking results which are raked No.1 position at HWBOT. The unbeatable OC performance includes following:

(1) No.1 Super PI 1M Score - ASRock Z77 OC Formula can overclock Intel® Core i7 3770K processor to unbelievable 7GHz and completely run Super PI 1M programs at merely 5.156 seconds. Hurrah! ASRock makes real-world overclocking more stabile!

Hi bro

Hi there

Older motherboard from 2008?

I believe we don't manufacture them anymore.
But if you are suffering from a asrock motherboard purchased during that time, we will try our best to support you whatever we can

p/s: if you are referring a Socket 478 motherboard, Yes our distributor still carrying one model into Malaysia

Quick question.
Can the Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 support a RAID array of 3TB drive x 3? (total 9 TB). GPT partition, on a Windows 7 x64 of course.

hi
my p67 supports IB right?

and the bios is on the Beta page?

then what is the Intel ME for?

plus I read that the bios/Intel ME is only usable/ compatible when there is a IB chip installed?
can it work if i install everything but use back the SB chip?

I got my z77 extreme 4 from Lingloong too. This mobo is rediculously awesome for its price..rich function. It fits well inside my Powerlogic <rm100 casing with Gtx 560ti biggrin.gif. I hope this mobo will lasted longer than warranty period.

Unbeatable 3 Years warranty by Asrock. Are you kidding me..? Thats long, 3 years later this mobo will obsolete already...... tongue.gif

Get Extreme 4... Worth it. Between those 2 board, I notice power phase which is important for overclocking. Low end MSI board with low power phase famous for being burned during OC or unlocking core (can try to check at overclock.net). And for Pro 3, I only found "Supports AMD Quad CrossFireX™ and CrossFireX™". While Extreme 4, "Supports AMD Quad CrossFireX™ and CrossFireX™, Supports NVIDIA® Quad SLI™ and SLI™". IMO, just get Extreme 4 if you have plan to SLI or OC your cpu.

My friend is having this problem with his ASROCK Z68 EXTREME 4/G 3.
His newly assembled system can't boot, he said the code is 'error 55'.
The CPU is CORE I5 3550 (Ivy Bridge).
I suspect a BIOS update is required. He only purchased the system yesterday.
Is it even possible to update the BIOS without a processor installed? sweat.gif

Hi

It is advised to update your motherboard's bios before apply an Ivy bridge processor on the motherboard.
Anyway, it is suggested for you to borrow any Socket 1155 (exp Ivy Bridge) processor to update the bios.

I see..
The ones on the market are not updated eh? Just to make sure. I don't recall seeing a sticker saying 'Ivy Bridge' supported on the box (I was with my friend when he bought the system).

Yes I know it is confirmed. Sorry maybe I didn't state clearly. What I meant to say is... the ones on the market (Z68 Extreme 4 G3) doesn't support IVY BRIDGE right out of the box right? I mean there's none that is already flashed with the BIOS that supports IB.

Is it even possible to update the BIOS without a processor installed?  sweat.gif
*
As expected, problem fixed by flashing to the latest BIOS. Thank god we have a few Sandy Bridge rigs in the office.

This depends on seller packaging and the courier. I had bought hardware (Mobo from Lingloong), (Cpu, Wifi card, Dvdrw from Yongkeen), (Ram from lyn forumer) this month. So far no problem. Pick the best courier at your area. The fastest for me is Kangaroo, which doing delivery from Johor to Kota Bharu in 24 hour. Damn fast.

Bro, not nice to reveal the price here, it's definitely a good bargain for the performance it delivers. Matched with intel ssd520 120gb sata3, I saw my benchmark higher overall than some shown in this lowyat ssd forum. And also my ati 7 series 3dmark11 has gone up dramatically as well using pci-e 3.0 on this board. =)

Bro, try go to the counter ask, then the sales boy will go to the pc and check the stock with the price. You will get it, they hide it somewhere in the storeroom behind the counter, that's how i saw where they took it out from. icon_rolleyes.gif

In addition to the two overall winners, prizes will be awarded to the top scoring entry in each week of the four-week contest. The competition is open to all overclockers using a Sandy Bridge or Ivy Bridge CPU on an ASRock 7 Series Motherboard. There are no restrictions on the brand of graphics card used, and in the 3DMark 11 contest category multiple GPU models and systems with multiple cards are welcome. I was just checking out my mobo product page for some driver and software updates.
http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/P67%20Extre...wnload&o=Win764

I saw that Intel Smart Connect and Rapid Start drivers and software were listed there. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this feature available for Z-series chipset only? So does that mean that my mobo's P67 chipset can support this too? biggrin.gif

What is the largest air cooler that can fit on the Z77E-ITX without obstructing the PCIe slot? The CPU socket seems a little too close for comfort there.

I don't think many ITX board can be fitted with a big heatsink since ITX is meant for slim setup.. isnt it?

I've seen a few pics of NH-D14s sitting in a few mini ITX rigs so I'm wondering whether this board can fit monsters like that without blocking the PCIe port.

I'd like to build a new rig using ASRock motherboard, the 5x Photoshop caught my eyes and plus I'd be doing a lot of print design on photoshop so performance for photoshop is what I'm eyeing on and of course, some 3D rendering as well or some OC too.

Funny that ASRock is pushing their feature to cater Photoshop users, maybe majority of gamers use photoshop? hmm...

Hi there

Asrock is trying to fine tune the product to their user with variety of features, which other brand cant provide *(yet)

As for the 555 for Photoshop user, it's a EXTRA benefit.

A customer told us that the Xfast Ram really do boost the speed of application. Photoshop is just an example smile.gif

last time me targeting a build base on mini-itx board..
Intel i7-3770K,ASrock Z77E mini-itx,Lian Li PC-Q08B..
but unfortunately no stock available for both PC-Q08 and ASRock Z77E

aredi ask around many seller including hikari85,lingloong,zhen whei,CEX etc but none having this mobo...
after having Bitfenix Prodigy in Malaysia market recently..hoping ASRock could consider bringing Z77E mini itx board to the market..
may b not my luck as i already end up with micro atx....but hoping others will get the benefit of having this great mobo and OC capable...

the long waited X79 EXTREME 11 (Perhaps the king of X79 boards at the moment?) is going to ashore MY soon
TAIPEI, Taiwan, July 13, 2012 – ASRock is hitting the top end of Intel's motherboard chipset. This is ASRock's top-end board for a top-spec desktop chipset. The brand new X79 Extreme11, like most of ASRock's latest boards aimed at the enthusiast end of the market, is full to the brim with features. PLX PEX 8747 bridges let this board to run multi-GPU 4-Way SLI/CrossFireX in full x16 PCIe 3.0 speed, 8 SATA3/SAS ports (sourced from LSI™ SAS2308 controller) support LSI™ MegaRAID®, delivering 3.8 GB/s high transfer speed in RAID 0 mode, Creative Sound Core3D 7.1 CH HD Audio brings astonishing sound experience to user. This is a rare, superior motherboard that brings all luxurious components together, delivering the highest level of performance.

4-Way SLI/CrossFireX Via PLX PEX 8747 Bridges

"Full to the brim" is a bit of an understatement. ASRock X79 Extreme11 is a slot-happy motherboard, equipping with 7 PCIe 3.0 x16 slots, supporting up to 4-Way SLI/CrossFireX multi-GPU settings. To control them well, ASRock also employs the service of two PLX PEX 8747 chips to supply enough extra PCIe lanes to support everything. With the extra PLX silicon, users can run a four-card SLI/CrossFireX setup at full x16 PCIe 3.0 speed simultaneously

This is the newest model from Asrock.
So far there isn't any distributor carrying this model. But you may submit your query to us by PM me, and we will arrange a dealer to contact you when it's available in Malaysia

Thanks for your test! Means my USB still running at 2.0 speed.. I'll try to reinstall drivers to see if it helps..

BTW you're using front or back ports?

Hi

Please check for the following places:

1. check if the driver is properly installed
2. Where do you plug in your external drive? is it on motherboard i/o ports or at extended port?

Thank you

i used the back port, my casing doesn't support front port.
2 types of USB3, Asmedia and Intel, i tested both. the result is the same.
so u might want to check if both drivers is installed properly.

Guys, what's the different between a i7 3770k with normal board overclocked and i7 3770 with Asrock No-K OC Technology board overclocked?

Well with Asrock No-K OC u can change the CPU ratio of non-K CPU.
But for me i can only LOWER the CPU ratio, Cannot go higher from the standard CPU ratio.
Still the only way to overclock Non-K CPU is to change the BCLK frequency. Which Can only give a little boost.

If u really into an overclock get the K version.

I'm not really an overclock enthusiast. I just wanna to overclock a little bit higher than the standard clock speed. Maybe somewhere between 3.6 or 3.7, so if Extreme4 is capable to let me overclock standard i7 3770 to that kind of clock speed, I can save some cash on the processor.

Fatal1ty for gamers
OC Formula for OCers

Fatal1ty has more features but OC Formula has more quality & solid build for OCing - 8 layers PCB, 8+4 pin connectors

Related smile.gif
Anything much more, in Z77, than 16+8 or 12+4 won't do much if anything to improve performance. The IB has a much more efficient CPU than the i7 Bloomfield or Gulftown where 16+2 phase is a 'good' thing. Some Z77's offer 24 Phases which is nuts even on LN2 - selling point if shopping phases only.
Supposedly the more power phase, the less stress while under overclocked. But it's all depends on the quality of the board.

Its a good board. Overclocking is a breeze with this mobo. Manage to push my 3570k to 4.5GHz, 4.8Ghz for quick run. Not sure for doa case though, mine arrived & working properly.

Oc formula has arrived. The box is very huge, as big as if not bigger than gb ud7. Feature wise after you are done digesting all the cosmetics and pimpin, seem be to lesser than the cheaper msi z77 m power

ASRock Launches the Z77 Extreme6/TB4 Motherboard with Thunderbolt

Few things in life are more complicated than the ports on a motherboard's rear panel. Not only do they disguise themselves in different shapes and sizes, they also serve for unique purposes and offer distinct performance. However, currently there is one in particular that stands out and deserves recognition - Thunderbolt! The leading motherboard manufacturer ASRock is joyous to announce that its new motherboard Z77 Extreme6/TB4 is equipped with two new Thunderbolt ports that support the revolutionary new file transfer technology.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Via Thunderbolt users may expect dual channel up to 10 Gbps per port transfer speed, which is also bi-directional and dual protocol friendly, including PCI Express and DisplayPort. The best part is that it isn't only good for one device. With the Daisy Chain feature, each Thunderbolt port supports up to six devices through a single compact port. So the two Thunderbolt ports on ASRock Z77 Extreme6/TB4 support a total of twelve devices! It is blistering fast, easy to use, flexible and full of potential. It is the future of high speed data transfer.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Besides the breathtaking Thunderbolt technology, Z77 Extreme6/TB4 shares the same winning specifications as other ASRock motherboards. Premium Gold Caps, Digi Power and 8 + 4 Power Phase Design for providing stable voltage. Four DDR3 slots that are able to be overclocked to over 2800(OC)MHz. Support for NVIDIA Quad SLI and AMD Quad CrossFireX for those who pursuit high quality visuals, and Lucid Virtu MVP which adds even more mojo to the graphics. As for those trendy Windows 8 users, ASRock has the exclusive Fast Boot technology which allows you to login to Windows 8 within 1.5 seconds. Au contraire, there is Restart to UEFI for automatically entering the UEFI when the system reboot is too fast for loading it manually.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Thunderbolt technology is unquestionably the great finale of year 2012. Toss in the fact that there are more and more motherboard's that support Thunderbolt recently, ASRock is the only one that offers futuristic dual Thunderbolt ports, and also excels others by top notch hardware and software features. ASRock is proud to say that we are hardware ready for the fast paced future!

Ok this is a support tread?

I got a customer for Z77 Extreme4 = The issue is the CPU pin already bend (2-3 pcs) thus make the board not boot-able

Wanna ask, for ASROCK this kind of case considered under warranty or repair or repair with fee / CID case ?

Hi there

Asrock does accept RMA with pin bent as following condition:
1. Product age less than 3 months = RMA will be accepted and guarantee to repair*.
2. Product age more than 3 months = RMA still be accepted but will try to be repair at best effort.

* Normal RMA term and condition applies.

Hope the above answer replied your question smile.gif

anybody on asrock h61m/u3s3 + Win8 experiencing reboot instead of shutdown syndrome ?
Also the pc restarts randomly (no bluescreen, just restarts) when USB wifi is connected (any usb ports, USB2 or 3 doesn't make a difference). Sometimes 30mins in, sometimes a couple of hours in.

(Latest non beta BIOS + drivers installed from Asrock website).

Any help would be great. Many thanks.

p/s: I asked in the "official tweaktown/asrock forums, but no replies"
