Damn, late to this party.

If based on the above picture, I had to agreed with the Edar press release and some sources that say its an accident. The damage is consistent with a car fallen/landing on it front tires. Even the rear tires on the right were seem slightly deflated.

And if the reported speed were true, its some awesome feat that the car hasn't go turtle, and only suffer that much injuries. Any tie rod will break apart upon that kind of impact. But then again, its just a personal opinion.

Yes >9000 is quite true.

why? are you jelly that you failed physics during school?

I'm not trying to convince anyone. Jz let them know some fact about what really happen. Wheels don't break that easily without huge impact.
Given any car, $hiT might happen.

It is the driver's stupidity, not about the car quality.

basher buta is just guilble people. They think with proton bankrupt, they can buy new cars at cheaper price. They forgot that if that were to happen most likely the goverment will bailed proton out. Ten thousands job at stake. Proton existing in itself, isn't a bout the need to gave people local car. I quote Mahathir;

QUOTE
“By itself, a national car is not a need. We could buy cheaper cars by importing them. An automotive industry generates a lot of engineering skills and it can give us a lot of the other businesses,

Its about getting out the middle income trap, so most of you who like to compare prices between here and in the US/UK can actually do that without sounding like a fools.

basically from previous official statement,   it says front wheel flew up and landed down..  but i guess rear wheel didn;t follow the same path/trajectory of the front wheel..

That mean the S.A wanna do rempit willies. That gotta be some awkward/awesome landing.

no need to be form 5 grad. biggrin.gif .. you take your car roughtly C segment type, drive 50kmh or 70kmh etc and slam the brakes (make sure no abs type) .. see how far lor , if around 10-12meters , that's about it, give or take..  biggrin.gif
*
but without knowing how high the front got lift off, is sort of impossible to really determined the accurate speed.

Imagine your car front lift off with rear still on the ground, panic, pull hand brake. Awkward stop, awesome "landing". Like a jack hammer with front as a head, and rear tire as pivot.

no need to be accurate, just need to be lower than a car with 4 wheels on the ground doing braking,.
usually car got 70+% braking force in front.. so if one wheel off, means brakes severly reduced.. hence braking distance should be greater.

anyway math show 50kmh is around 12.3meter..  biggrin.gif

had to discount for engine breaking as well.

lost one front wheel braking power, engine braking won't help .. how a differential works will see to that..

(unless it somehow got brake vectoring or limited slip differential)
*
Haha, kept forgotten about the front wheel were of the ground, if that were the case your calculation might be close to the true.
