Proton Edar

We would like to address concerns regarding pictures of a damaged Proton Prevé circulating on the web.

At around 4.45pm yesterday, one of our sales advisors was involved in an accident while driving from Jalan Sentul towards Jalan Pahang in KL, when the Proton Prevé that he was driving hit a divider and landed awkwardly causing the lower arm to break.

While we're happy to report that our sales advisor is unhurt, our test-drive unit, however, was damaged as a result of the accident. So, remember to buckle up and drive safe because accidents can happen - to anyone and to any car.

End of the day, more things will start falling off,

Proton will always be Proton,

Features and technology will get better, but can`t be said abt the quality wise.

Peace

Malaysian and Government already support Proton so many years... Since when Proton support Malaysian?

Malaysian buying expensive car because of proton cant compete other brands..

20 Years not enough for a car company to grow as Korean car? or even a India car?

Added on April 21, 2012, 3:20 pmNowadays supporting Proton is not supporting Malaysia.. But supporting only few people's pocket only.

Just my own opinion.

The Standards:
- TIMING-BELT?

- Open up the front bonnet and take note on the area near the 2 headlamps. A piece of fibre-like or plastic-kind of beam which is in black colour. Why is NOT STEEL BEAM?

- Pillars-cover with adjacent to the front windscreen is not seal. This is very easy to spot because there is an huge gap between the front windscreen.

- Sound proof underneath the front bonnet not sticking well

Double Standards:
- Front door (interior) = soft touch; Rear door (interior) = hard plastic !!?

- Front seats = solid comfortable; Rear seats = sponge filled !!?

says there it was SA fault.. not the car's.. whatver car you're driving if you're careless.. anything can happen. come on people. why blame the car? i saw a lot of continental cars hitting the ramps and dividers with parts coming off.. you don't see that making headlines..
