hi guys,

imma new to oc here.

yesterday i tried oc-ing my i7 3770k, at first trying to get 4.5ghz, but the vcore needs to be very high, i try until 1.35 but still need increase so i stopped, because the temp goes around 95-100 in prime95.

tried 4.2ghz, manage to go lowest at 1.15vcore. test prime95 for 20+min is ok. no bsod.

can tell me what is the next thing i should do? like when idle the vcore should also stay 1.15? need some advise XD

i also set the LLC on High.

you need to delid your 3770k for better thermal performance. Btw use offset setting for 24/7 overclock. the vcore will stay at at normal rate. Btw test with prime95 for at least 12 hours for maximum stability test.

hey, how does the offset work?

currently for 4.3ghz the vcore is constant at 1.21

how should i offset this?

edit:

guys i dont understand the offset mode.

at first i tried stressing the cpu on offset mode, offset value = auto, when stress the vcore reach 1.40 constant.

then i went back to bios, i tried offset value 0.19. since for 4.3ghz, my cpu needs 1.21vcore. (it did not boot)

went back bios offset value change to 0.05, boot in to windows, stress test the vcore reach max 1.21vcore, which is what i want ._.

when idle vcore 0.848 - 0.9.

i dont understand why bios offset value 0.05 (-) can make vcore 100% cpu usage @ 1.21vcore.
