But I can't run Linx boss. vmad.gif  Same error even though I close other apps. Am I doing Linx wrong or my oc is not good? Now running Prime95 for 2 hour stressing RAM and CPU till I'm unable to use my PC. rclxub.gif Now my memory comeback while I was oc'ing my AMD where during stress test, PC is unusabl e.

Don't know what happen. You might either customize the ram amount or select the largest or 2nd largest amount from the drop down list.

How about this one boss? I can't set above 6000mb for ram though available memory is > 6000mb. Error regarding not enough swap will occur in Prime95. So, I just set to 6000 mb but seems like I'm stressing only 7.1gb of memory. How to max out?

Regarding the Linx, will try back again.

memory, and load is 7.58gb of ram... Will continue tonight... Hopefully stable. If yes, the I will push further.

Btw, you should run the stress test in Diagnostic environment to minimize the usage of RAM by other application & then only you could maximize the total RAM for stress purpose.. Just from my PoV nod.gif

Nope, run the msconfig, tick Diagnostic mode & reboot

Edit: Overclocking aint that easy. Speed without stability is nothing smile.gif

Okay, will try tomorrow boss. BTW, Prime95 started at 1730 until 2130 RAM and CPU fully stress, working fine. I lazy to take screenshot as opening apps will make my system lag due to low memory warning. Now need to off generator. Have problem... I thought can Primed until 2300 tonight.

Thanks for the advice boss. Hehe... Tomorrow will try. I wish I still working at city instead of at jungle now. So boss, you run Linx then no need to run Prime?

Added on July 31, 2012, 11:21 pmBTW boss, I just try to execute Linx just now. Only able to run at 5120 memory. Is that good enough? Hmm... Will try revert to stock setting tomorrow and try max memory.

I only run LinX & Futuremark on CPU test.. So far I havent have instability issues smile.gif

The 5120MB when you select "All" for RAM in the LinX option? Im running i7 old family with 6GB RAM. In Diagnostic mode, I can see it would take upto 5.7GB of my RAM when running Linpack

it depends imo...
hmm in my case LinX proven 2b better..after i finished 100 run (4 hours++) of LinX..then i proceed with prime95...
for starting i put offset +0.005v all tested with LinX then up to offset +0.020v
i can see the pattern of failure (longer time taken before LinX got error) 30mins,42mins,1 hour++,.....untill 4 hours plus done for 100 run
then i did prime95 and it can last for 12 hours....till i end it with none error occurs thumbup.gif

in before during i had a faulty stick of ram...i've gone thru 7 hours plus with prime..but LinX detects that error within 3 minutes (as told b4)
i'm not judging linX is better coz i'm no pro..hehehehe notworthy.gif

that's annoying AI sensor problem. Just ignore it or turning off the warning alert in AI probeII while running stress test. Or terminate the AI suite,

May I join? biggrin.gif Just finished setting up my Ivy system last night.

Adjusted the multiplier to x45, LLC to high, HT to off, everything else on stock. And I can bet I'm the only one here with an OCed i7 on Intel-branded mobo tongue.gif

OK,but why not 4/8 cores (you should have GFlops ~100).
My 4/8 for 4.5GHz stable is also arround 1.225V.

You mean should turn on HT? Because I read from OC guide somewhere to turn off HT sweat.gif

Now 2 hours liao and still running strong, gonna try with 4/8 cores afterwards. Surprised that the temps are around 80, I'm just using Hyper 212 Evo and not some big hsf or wc...

Added on August 1, 2012, 11:07 pmWeird. I turned on HT but GFlops dropped to ~60 only rclxub.gif Must be something wrong somewhere, or is it due to my RAMs?

IBT gave ~99GFlops but LinX only ~62GFlops. I thought they are essentially the same, but why 40GFlops gone with LinX doh.gif
