That's it. if LinX also failed in 3 mins then I don't see it's a good idea to drag it to 7 hours of Prime dy. Wasting your time only. doh.gif
I don't want to jump into conclusion that you got a bad RAM stick.
Suspect is dram timings error, vdimm, VTT or even VCCSA went wrong.
Here Asus boards' default RAM timing is generally better than other brands.
Run memtest in windows mode, multi-launch it to use all the CPU cores/threads.

Prefetch turned OFF? I don't think it will affect the failure.
But you can always revert the settings back to original & test again.
your memtest failed because of either dram timings error, vdimm or VTT etc. Bad stick? i don't think so.
I have never used ASRock mobo before so don't want to say it's bad blindly. tongue.gif

hehehe no offence here...i'm not tat kind of fanboy of any brand...b4 i use Asus...this time budget nipis..so shift to ASRock..
btw seems like i got a stick faulty...might b...
i tested a stick at a time..on the same slot....
that particular bad stick (hopefully "bad") seems kenot stand LinX more than 1 minutes++
also kenot pass memtest 0.2% test...
then i do memtest 86 again ....bad stick got lots of errors....
hopefully i trully capture the culprit....

last time memtest86 done with both sticks attached to respective slots....
tq owikh..kenot imagine if u not here in LYN...tqvm again... notworthy.gif

I don't have this kit. mem frequency & timings set to auto can post?
give it 1.65v?
what' rev. of this DomGT printed on the label? to determine what IC it uses.
what's the code of the debug LED on the mobo? 55 = RAM can't do, 23 = IMC weak
Samsung chip is the best overclocker atm you might find it on Xtreem & some TridentX kits (mixed with Hynix)

Yes, rev 8.x is Nanya

Try swap the sticks between the RAM slots? if 55 still persist then sad to say that you got an incompatible kit for IB/SB.
It has been discussed/argued HERE that there are two types of TridentX.
Some are Hynix, some are Samsung (better), some single sided, some are double sided (better). Its all depends on your luck. biggrin.gif
I will get one of these 2666C11 4x2 kit next week, hopefully I got the "better" one.

How you filled up the gap between the die & HS? Thick layer of thermal paste?

I removed the mobo socket retention bracket using Torx T-20 screw driver.
It only takes a minute to remove it. Apply TIM on the die. Make sure that you apply even pressure when installing your cooler.
