Used offset mode before and my cpu run 4.5GHz at 1.24v max on idle but vdroop to 1.16v while running LinX or IBT. Temp around 85 max. For sure, my GFlops also just around 11x max.

Heard fixed mode is better for performance and increase chances of BSOD. Offset mode is the safest mode for newbie. But still, offset mode is very useful to know what's vCore is needed for our chip at selected core speed

mine using offset +0.020V...
running strong 4 hours++ on LinX and 12hours of prime95
idle is 0.968v with LLC set to level 3 (on ASRock mobo)
