But seriously, dragging the car from zero is sad due to the shitty 0-2k rpm response. I managed to WOT a couple of times too (no top speed runs, city drive oni) but the initial response is really fucuked up.
No, this is NOT a car for Botack to swerve around in. The lag would kill him. |

QUOTE(stinger82 @ Apr 23 2012, 05:50 PM) 0-40 is like sheet wor. Boost comes after that, so I DO believe it can be (slightly) faster then the Inspira 2.0 at 40-100, though I'm not sure it can hold its lead past 130-140 (or maybe like Meetoo said, they launched the car at 2k rpm).Boost comes slow and semput at 4k. This is NOT a speed cruiser, but it could prolly rule Karak with a steel balls driver if he can keep it around 2k rpm minimum. And if the tyres don"t give way lol. QUOTE(8431 @ Apr 23 2012, 07:45 PM) So, the 2008 Lancer platform had PROTON R&D in it??! Eeeeek!Really, if that really happened, it would have been epic lol. Just "washed" my car today (aka douse with water liberally, wipe down dry), now it's all sparkly again thanks to SG, plus a couple of dings and nicks due to rough driving lol. I need 3M Clearbra on the front nao. This post has been edited by Eiraku: Apr 23 2012, 08:03 PM |

Ahhh, back in Lipis. Nothing notable en route except the fact that I'm wondering if tables can sort the extremely bad 8 trunk as well as the stock sorbers.
Because I get to fly quite a number of times driving back, not as bad as last week's painful 160 jumpdive though (driving with more restraint now, 130+- avg oni). Not to mention the mid corner bumps, holes and reverse cambers - which the well sorted sus (+ buffers) takes with aplomb, without much drama (except the flexy CC5 going skittish on bumpy turns sometimes). Tables + shit road = bad thing (assuming a 225/17/50 is used)? Or it really doesn't matter because you get to adjust it to suit anything anyway? Because I'm thinking that a hard sus setup would be pretty nervous on a crappy road. Do korek me if I'm wrong. This post has been edited by Eiraku: Apr 24 2012, 01:18 AM |

Now thinking twice about dynamat and stuff (foam still okay), thinking why the heck do I ADD WEIGHT to the vehicle that I try to smoke people in - WHEN OTHER PEOPLE DUMP THE REAR SEATS EVEN.
Counter-productive, ain't it? Hmm. Maybe + slim spare + some bonnet insulation? The wet road + rear wheel noise is driving me mad. That one after my first "serious" mod this weekend - provided I have extra cash. This post has been edited by Eiraku: Apr 24 2012, 12:26 PM |

QUOTE(MeToo @ Apr 24 2012, 12:29 PM) Bro... u have to think this way... Korekted.Sound proofing = Pros : Cant hear wheel/road sound ,, Cons : Add weight, reduce performance, Straigth flow exhaust + sports muffler = Pros : Extra performance, cant hear wheel/road sound,, Cons : Mai mother, yet-to-be-found GF and future-MIL will kill me So... you think which mod more worth? Dun wanna become Ah Rempit lol. But the logic is there, I admit. This post has been edited by Eiraku: Apr 24 2012, 12:34 PM |

QUOTE(WilliamHoo @ Apr 24 2012, 12:38 PM) Foaming (veli minimal weight + better handling would offset the 'so-called' weight added) Too stiff might NOT be a GOOD thing? Hardness, upon cured (can withstand your 1300kg ride on top of it, osso dun change shape) jnick : Free Full foaming ur Rear bonnet only nia (the rest gotta charge accordingly) (Can save UR bars installation) Stiffen up and come down here to Lipis, and feel your bone rattle every time you hit a pothole, bump or crater. QUOTE(turbocharged @ Apr 24 2012, 12:50 PM) Nolah, you try cheep stuff KENOT REMOVE. So you HAVE to go to the BEST STUFF MONEY CAN BUY lor, korek? If not later regret wor.But in the end, even MAHALZ JIT too stiff or whatever and you dun like, how? Autofoaming is TOO PERMANENT really, main reason why I keep hesitating to jump into that boat. Maybe later +10 years down the road when my Rara -> weekend rempit car / project car / mod machine. This post has been edited by Eiraku: Apr 24 2012, 12:58 PM |
