I have 2 iphones delivered from Canada by my friend to me. Using DHL.
I know there is 0% taxes on smartphone.

I just want to know, can I assign agent to apply SIRIM for me? Or DHL will apply for me and collect money when delivered the items?
I live too far away to apply it.

If this works, the custom will released my iphones and send straight to me, right?

only 2 units should be no problem. I don't think customs will disturb. You can just say this is sample unit for testing or own usage.

yes. from my experience. even used and/or only 1 set you still need to apply for SIRIM before you can claim it from customs.

UNLESS, the custom didn't check the parcel which is impossible, unless you declare things other than phone.

AFAIK, SIRIM is RM250, not inclusive of agent processing fee.
Of course u may inquire him/ her on the non-SIRIM way.
