QUOTE(ericmaxman @ Apr 21 2012, 10:38 AM) That is accident, QC problem is different. That welding let me go & check later... Impossible they bypass the strict QC test.. probably another remote case nia.. But on that accident pic, it's really create a viral pic that QC of proton really bad.. sighkamon la, cheap Korean car can have better welding, i dont see why plotong cannot do the same |

QUOTE(old_and_slow @ Apr 22 2012, 10:03 AM) I checked already.. The welding point is actually common.. even Hyundai Sonata also having this welding point. So it's nothing new. Later I upload the photos of both Sonata & Preve welding points.. The only differences.. Sonata more welding metal & workmanship abit better than the rough Preve welding.. Nothing wrong wth it |

QUOTE(project68 @ Apr 22 2012, 11:42 AM) Actually I checked both the showroom car & the test drive car.. The test drive car having better welding almost similar to Sonata but the display unit abit rough & less welding metal..So I think, it's not robotic welding but man-welded job & thus differences between cars are very obvious |

Here. Most cars also having this welding point. So it's not uncommon.. Only the quality of welding diff story.. One better than another.. So when the earlier photos saying Prevelike 1/2 cut job is not true.. other cars also having similar welding ponts : ![]() |

QUOTE(RegentCid @ Apr 22 2012, 11:49 AM) Me and Stimix when test preve yesterday.....not only welding at door.....it got others bad craftmanship too. Well, hv to accept the fact that one is <RM70K or ~ RM30K cars without excise & etc songlxp. cost added in and another is a RM140K car (RM70k without levy/excise) liao This post has been edited by stimix: Apr 22 2012, 12:00 PM |

QUOTE(project68 @ Apr 22 2012, 11:57 AM) That's secondary.. But earlier, the whoto of Preve welding point is just to paint an incorrect picture that only Preve having 1/2 cut style welding and no other cars having this welding point This post has been edited by stimix: Apr 22 2012, 12:02 PM |

QUOTE(Vista-X @ Apr 22 2012, 10:18 PM) Lol the joint is normal but if u look closely the sonata's joint got silicon type sealant at the gap and does not show any holes. Again, it's not about the quality of welding but the fact other cars too hv the welding points. |
