hmm didnt know we have a lot of engineers and experts in lyn. (for those that do not understand this is sarcasm)
i'm no fanboi, but bashing like this is unfair. Would be better if there's actual test done or any citation saying this weld would effect the integrity of the car.
(Such as part of the door flying out when driving 120kmh)

in my understanding the door is one of the crumple zone refer this diagram

user posted imagehttp://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/gcsebitesize/science/images/ph_forces08.gif

the blue lines are the chassis; now the integrity of the car depend on this. IF a kapcai can damage the chassis (blue line) than by all means please bash.

btw Some people can afford imported cars some people cant.
What matters is how you drive.

so how is your post related to poor welding point that even a 10 years old kid can do better?

based on the diagram, what i'm trying to say the welding of the door does not affect the structural integrity of the car directly.
that is all. btw the door is supposed to crumple when collided. to absorb the shock.

so far i don't have any doubt on the integrity of the welding.. but it is ugly.. looks cincai .. they should cover it nicely

exactly what im trying to say, not life threatening (this apply to all cars)
but yeah appearance wise it is ugly, and its quite obvious compared to other cars that uses the same technique
(people never really noticed this with other cars)
