Dear Owners,

Anyone knows where / what sort of solution can be proposed in order to solve the noise that comes out from the engine ?
It sounds like 'tak tak tak tak tak' doesn't matter you are accelerating or set to neutral. Is it the sound of timing belt ?

I am currently in the mileage of total 67K ++ ...

IAFM problem.

send to SC to either have the purge valve replaced or the whole set replaced.
*
Any idea how much does it cost ? .. Sounds like something serious to me.

nothing serious. engine explode only... tongue.gif

Joke aside, its nothing serious. What you'll experience will be torque dip in between 2,000rpm~4,000rpm which in turn will cause your FC to suffer a bit, especially in city drive.

cost ah? err... the valve shld cost around rm130 while the whole IAFM set prices vary depending on SC.
*
You really scared me off .. sweat.gif
does that means that the FC will be affected with this problem ? .. and you are referring to downgraded engine performance during city drive ?
I guess it will cost me approx. RM500 +- for this problem ..

HA - lowered
SA - Sport/stiff but almost same with stock height..

for auto, use drop-in, dont go for open pod or later u will feel the lemau... hehehe
*
I prefer the same height with the stock absorber ..
Btw, what is drop in and open pod ? .. Lemau means bounchy feeling when driving that time ?

QUOTE(r3apers @ May 3 2012, 03:59 PM)

I already suffer that rattling noise after few month driving my FLX, and the SC not gonna help us. What they did, they open up the door cover and bla bla bla (said this is normal)  sweat.gif ...

After I got home, I open up the door cover by myself and I realise the noise came from the metal bar which link to the door opener (grey) and the lock. Refer to the photo, and I put in some sponge to eliminate those annoying noise  thumbup.gif

Thanks for sharing the tip. This is what happened to my current SAGA BLM .. on the left side door always got those rattling sound esp. going through bumpy roads.
I changed to a new door due to the accident that got me when a Honda CRV rammed towards me .. sweat.gif

Same goes to me as well .. I'm hitting 68K soon. Spark plugs haven't change yet ever since the 1st one - same goes to timing belt and the absorber as well. sweat.gif

what is ur mileage/week? I approx. 450-500km now...

Spark plug if no harm to engine, then i think i will change later, maybe @ 80k sweat.gif ...absorber felt stiffer now, but still OK, not bouncy, so will not change as well...
*
Mine is approx. 3xx - 4xx KM as of to date .. smile.gif
My absorber is really making lots of noise when driving around bumpy roads or going through road bumps. Guess I will be changing it soon when I'm back to KL ..
