Booklet for FLX is recommend using 10W30, i wonder what oil SC will put in during service?

My car now 64k adi, 2years 8 months

I plan for next service on this Saturday (outside)..

I only plan for normal service, which full sycn + oil filter only, maybe will swap 4 tyres position and balancing.

The parts that i yet to replaced (overdue alot according to service manual) now included:

1. Spark plug - 12k service 'paksa' changed by SC, until now.

2. Radiator coolant - 17k service 'paksa' changed by SC, until now. (Last time ever i went for Proton SC, dun like 'paksa' service ) Open and see, no rust nor dirt in the coolant water, still clean and clear.

3. Power steering fluid - new car until now.

4. Brake fluid - new car until now.

5. fuel filter - new car until now.

So for item 1 - 5, is it necessary to change it?

Well, my FC now still as good as new car, power wise din noticed losses, brake still OK, a little bit vibration under braking, what i thought is due to worn brake pad. Power steering feel good.

So what you guys think?

No change no warranty ma...they always use same word to threaten customer...so at 17k i give up my warranty lo, they blow me up meh...

Where got so many things need to warranty la...save up for those damn labour cost, later part rosak those save are enuf to cover adi..

Remember wrongly, they paksa me change spark plug @ 17k, NGK...well, just 5k different.

I also know spark plug should be able to withstand at least 40k, but damn booklet said every 20k, WTF...

Fuel filter i ask few outside mechanics adi, they said can tahan 100k one wo... they seems less interested to change for me...but i still feel ok la, no power loss nor bad FC...

if u don want to change according to service manual, no point u go there 'cekik leher' by them, right?

Anyway, last time i wait so long before given up warranty becos my IAFM start to make noise that time....
I went there ask for warranty, what they said now still minor sound only, later major noise only come change ...wait wait wait IAFM still refuse to kong, then i decided to let it die as it like...until now still alive...

Now after few service, those saved labour cost enuf me to replace a IAFM+ adi if it really die...

Yalo, they said the side effect of aging spark plug is idling vibration and high FC, but i din encounter this...so anyone here use ur spark plug >40k??

Maybe i got influenced by my father la, everything will use until can't use only change...i know service accordingly is good, but still can use, why not?

But i won't dare to push timing belt over limit la, this one i can't bare if it broken...

80k is due soon ...timing belt, tensioner, accessories belt, water pump...

what is ur mileage/week? I approx. 450-500km now...

Spark plug if no harm to engine, then i think i will change later, maybe @ 80k ...absorber felt stiffer now, but still OK, not bouncy, so will not change as well...

You see outside still got RM10 servis cas for tuning or not...

Our Saga also will realease such sound even it is normal, becos is air based absorber...

You balik mana? From where to where? How many KM's?

The suspension is stiffer, and less body roll when cornering.
What Proton claimed is more 'neutral' in handling and comfort.

Well, some of them complain it was hard. So is own preference.

Ei, anyone of you guys de-carbonized ur Saga ah, using some sort of spray inject from intake manifold? Or ask workshop to clean throttle body better? Necessary to do that or not?

Actually i worry carbon go out from exhaust valve during de-carbonized will coating the O2 sensor and make the sensor kong...

Got some sort of 'new' thing for read...of cos believe it or not own judgement la...

Actually last time SC did that during my car is 15k only, he unplug the intake hose and let me see how dirty the throttle body was. Then he spray and start the car, my car 'smoking' until the same day night time.

What i think is throttle body definitely is dirty after 50k of traveling...

Last time SC guy told me for stock car, the ori 'bullet' got multiple layer of filter before exhaust gas can pass through, this filter actually make the exhaust gas 'smoke back' to throttle body and make it more dirty than previous car. Been told the filter is for emission control. So if possible, throw away the ori part and replace with straight flow 'bullet'....

Wa, TB tahan 100k+ oh? Quite risky la....i think i will change mostly on 90k+...

Anyway, what is car age now?

Fan belt? accessories belt is it? Our car fan is electric fan, no need belt la...
