I also not sure, I think there is some improvement, now I can easily rev to 3.5 - 4, but more than half throttle lor.

Last time the RPM very difficult to naik after 2.5 .

Maybe the larger rims and thicker tires have something to do with it, not sure. But so far I'm happy with it.

u coming 2night TT V12K?

QUOTE(davidke20 @ Apr 30 2012, 01:38 PM)
Dude, really can't compare with all that 3. I have never tried(test drive) an FLX 1.3 before, u wanna let me try yours? brows.gif

Anyway, driving a CVT is my 1st experience in Perve & FLX. In fact driving a CVT like a numb nut is also my 1st time. Besides, driving MT so many years, CVT is a luxury item for me. So, I guess if u ask me to give. Price to price feedback will be more proper.

Perve: if ur salary can afford, why not? If buy, make sure get a CFE version, otherwise might as well back to Persoga, pay less to get the same thing. According to dares, turbo kick in 2krpm, but I suspect full charge is happening at about 3krpm. If u r performance thirsty, this is not for you. The turbo is just nice for slight torque improvement for comfort/leisure driving.

FLX SE: leather finishing with red stitches! CVT gear box! 110+hp! Almost half the price of a Pergana back then! If can't afford the Perve, why not FLX SE!

FLX CVT: Huzaifa drove me in his car! Seriously, it felt like a very powerful 1.6 engine. I couldn't tell the difference with FLX SE. I guess the 1 inch wheel size different offdset the extra power of the FLX SE. If not for the bodykit, 1 inch extra wheel, smoked tail lamp, extra 300cc, leather finishing, I don't see the need for SE.

FLX manual... Only 3k difference with CVT, if u choose to save that 3k and snap your left foot in KL Traffic...I've got nothing much to say

FLX CVT is definitely a best buy in my opinion. If given 73k in hand, I'd buy an FLX CVT.

Tonight come to TT, I'll show you why DBW installed in our cars.for now, I can only tell you DBW is specially designed for CVT. A car with DBW without CVT is simply incomplete, in fact CACAT. Unable to explain here, can only show you when I'm driving.

P/s: dares, I don't drive friends car like a moron. I'm a gentlemen, unless the car is meant for trashing(ie.showroom test drive car).

Read the vacuum meter, you'll understand the throttle controlled are meant to protect automatic gearbox(including CVT). Most of the time conventional auto gearbox wear off pretty quickly due to sudden acceleration/deceleration. And I believe the current DBW are meant to protect the CVT also.

Well then it is meant to protect the entire drivetrain, CVT or not. Your statement that dbw was designed for CVT was kinda misleading, considering it was implemented in Proton cars long before CVT was even on the drawing board in Proton.

not sure...but using dbw you can integrate many feature easily, like stability control, or maybe easy to add cvt too..

You can't get all the comfort level in Preve in Saga, no matter old gen BLM or newest 1.6FLX.

You're right. Sorry kinda misleading. I know its long there in many Plotong before our CVT implemented. Plotong was planting the idea for us to have more advance hi-tech driving experience in the future, and thats the only reason why DbW was introduced in our car. The entire DbW existed for many reasons, such as traction control, steering control, brake by wire control(who knows Plotong will implement all those in the future). And therefore, with ONLY drive by wire, without having other WIRE feature in the car is a total waste of effort. However, thats my own opinion. Not against anybody or provoking.

Gas pedal to throttle body linkage cable related information available in Wikipedia-Bowden Cable
Cable for OLD PLOTONG GAGA 1.3/1.5 S/I Cap ayam RM25, USPD RM75
Cable for PLOTONG WIGA 1.3/1.5/1.6/1.8 fuel injection Cap ayam RM35, USPD RM80
Throttle body for Mits 4G series engine range between RM150 ~ RM400. Most of them can be REPAIR.
You snap the cable, you replace the cable. Your idling mechanism worn out, replace with throttle body service kit, RM40. Butterfly already worn off, cant close tight anymore, change throttle body RM150. If cable snap, you can't accelerate.

However, when DBW failed...
QUOTE(Wikipedia)
The condition is rare and does not occur suddenly. It can occur when the pedal mechanism becomes worn and, in certain conditions, the accelerator pedal may become harder to depress, slower to return or, in the worst case, stuck in a partially depressed position.

Read more on TOYOTA VEHICLE RECALL and there is a great chance you see a wanna stop at the junction, you release the pedal and your engine continue to rev up and finally crash into the cross junction traffic.

And no, DBW cost more than cable link throttle
QUOTE(Wikipedia)
The cost of DbW systems is often greater than conventional systems.

Yes, but I think you have it backwards. Developing a CVT drivetrain was only possible because it so happens that the Campro drivetrain has DBW.

Integrating DBW when Campro came out somewhat makes their drivetrain future-proof, but it is a stretch to say that DBW was designed for CVT.
