seriously that 1k rpm before turbo spools does it take that long to reach 2k rpm?  i haven't go test drive yet but based on my previous (10 years) experiences with turbo cars, 1k rpm of turbo lag / sluggishness isn't THAT bad.  but this is just my 2 cents, need to test drive first to see.  at least u won't have to suffer the crappy underpowered and unresponsiveness of the vios on ALL the rev range
*
Different expectations, especially for those who are unfamiliar with turbo. Maybe you go test drive one and let us know how it compares to your experience?

my friends first batch Exora Bold first three months engine suddenly shut down.... send back to service center dunno what happen.... then he regreted.... he said he should not give Proton chance at all... should have listen to me to buy the later batch car instead of becoming the guinea pig or should i said QC OFFICER of Proton.
*
Your friend might have a lose battery terminal courtesy of lousy dealers, not neccesarily Proton.

he has already resolve the problem already.

I wont said this is not a problem of PROTON. First of all to us normal consumer will only think that those SA also work for Proton.... no way are they not related or responsible...

second is the SC does not have enough knowledge about the car.... and have no way to help check the problem which i cant accept. Sending a customer back and forth to the SC but cannot solved a small problem on a BRAND NEW car.
*
Sadly, you are right. stupid SAs reflect poorly on Proton, but what can Proton do? all they can do is educate their customers.

Also, I am assuming your friend send to authorized SC instead of Proton Edar SC, because I think this is a common problem.

At least there is an airbag.

authorized SC?...proton edar SC not authorized meh?
in my place proton edar SC have better service than their EON SC

Proton Edar SC is operated by Proton Edar, authorized SCs are operated by outside companies, such as Sin Siang Hin.

fail airbag is as good as no airbag
seatbelt not tight your head can bang the windscreen.
*
Hahahaha you so sure the airbag will fail.

Even if Proton airbag only have 1% chance of deploying in a collision, no airbag = 0%.

My point of view is early kick in "makan minyak". When Turbo kick in, fuel consumption will go up. In city driving, if we control our foot, most of the time we no need to go till 2k rpm, so fuel save abit. If in H/way, where we want to "pecut" then Turbo kick in..... Vroom...

Correct me if I am wrong.  smile.gif
*
That's the idea behind the "pay-as-you-go" concept Proton has been pimping. Tame city driving, drives like a 1.6. On highway or after turtle potong you, your car transform into a 2.0 by pressing the pedal just a bit harder.

Sound concept, not sure how well it works in real world driving.

that would have to wait until 2015 where proton introduce new engine
if not wrong...the campro cannot stand supercharger
they did buy a few unit to test previously and is supposedly for satria neo
but after that no news...i think fail
wait new engine better
*
Satria Neo Artiga is supposedly a supercharged Campro.

Vios J Spec  = roti canai kosong
Inspira 2.0  = roti canai telur
Forte 2.0    = roti canai telur

Stop the pot calling kettle black exchange.

Just look at our streets at night, how those Saga and Myvis behave on a relatively empty road, you'll see many both owners are equally immature.

Hello fren, Potong is a local car. Why should it be subjected to those taxes in the table http://www.maa.org.my/info_duty.htm
Under Local Taxes CBU and CKD, Potong is not subject to these taxes.
If a Vios is taxed only 10% more than a Potong, the latter would have gone into administration a long time ago.
*
Potong is subjected to the same excise duty and sales tax like vios. Vios is subjected to an additional 10% import duty.
