for those of you who interested in get the barometer in our gnex to work.. try out this app

SyPressure (Barometer)

it's pretty awesome.. it uses barometer to check pressure.. adding it's widget to the home and it will check pressure every hour.. monitor the changes.. alert you the weather changes.. from rain to sunny or vice versa..

it does uses battery every hour so probably not for you who want to save as much juice as you can.. me i just want to use as much phone as i can

the reading is only real time.. u need to add the widget to be useful as the reading in the app close the moment u move out.. generally.. the pressure reduce and the app tells you the average pressure have drop thus assuming rain is on the way.. it'll work better after some moment you stay at a paticular place as it needs to learn the average of that area

not bad actually. i just wish the app comes with a second scan action.. so it toggle in between when i scan the same tag.. and don't have to have 2 seperate tag to switch ..

they use token nowadays.. the kind you find in car parks like e-curve/cineleisure.. plastic coin thingy.. supposedly it can be read by nfc.. and thus you can use retag app to remember them and do things accordingly..

i'm not sure if it's legal to just buy the token and walk away thou lol.. watch your back

i got the same too.. lol freak me out..but i know i will find solution here.. so i have to unroot back.. do i hav to lock the bootloader too? do i have to flash back cwm later.. i'm assuming yes cause ota will rewrite system files?

google drive is out.. 5gb free

lol not much.. but better than dropbox if u don't invite user.. but cool thing about it is it release the sdk at the same time.. means in future apps can have cloud storage with google drive at the same time.. means more awesome app

if u don't have root.. long press empty space on the screen like how you would edit the wallpaper..

if you have root.. just do as how you would on stock launcher..

ah yes.. but kind of worth it.. consider this won't be your last and only android device... and you will be doing backup restore and all those sweet things in the long run..

Super AMOLED HD is the HD version of Super AMOLED.. so since it has HD resolution of 720p it's HD.. if anything it's not the Super AMOLED PLUS which is on the S2 thats all... so both gsm and wikipedia are correct

hi this is the first time i spend enough time on aokp.. was on stock all this while and last time on aokp was ashort while.. is it normal that after flashing aokp and gapps i have to redownload most of the app like g+.. gmail.. and some icon like camera no longer work as i have to add them back again?

also i can't seems to install maps.. by right i shouldn't have to use market enabler for that as maps are enable in the region?

but i notice was playing around with aokp custom nav bar.. put a few apps in it.. because its colored and the big size makes it kind of out of place.. so i was hunting for icons.. and just remembered android actually have a design source page you can grab the source fileshere

which contains all the resource for developer to do apps.. so grab a few icons and resize them.. basically take the 68*68 one and add padding equally till the image is 100*100 or 90*90.. padding makes icon looks smaller.. so heres the little modified icon i made within 5 minutes.. i think it's cool and simple.. just tot i'd share it
